Great hotel, good location off the strip

4.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 10 May 2024via mobile
I stayed here for a concert at the Sphere, it was a great option and I would stay there again. It is about a 5-10 minute walk to the Strip and 10 mins to the Sphere. It’s easy to get to the monorail too. The hotel is next to a pretty sketchy bar.

The hotel itself is really nice. When I was there the pool was closed. The room was really nice, the lobby and common area was as well. There is a Starbucks which is nice. There is a bar and restaurant in the lobby. I didn’t go to them but were crowded so I assume they were good.

Location was good. Not far from the strip. Price was great, especially for a hotel with a view of the sphere. By far the best front desk customer service from a hotel that I’ve experienced. Their eagerness to help with anything was refreshing and made my stay very pleasant.

Room tip: Ask for a view of the sphere!

Located midway on the strip close to the sphere, the Linq Promenade and Vegas Boulevard. Casino free.
Clean, quiet, comfortable. Housekeeping never came to our room, even though do not disturb sign was off the door, but they did bring extra towels when we called.
The hotel has a spa, restaurant, bar, Starbucks and pool (pool was closed in March while we were there). Had lunch in the restaurant, burger was ok, they put mayonnaise on it even though I told them I was allergic, it took 10 minutes for someone to come back so I could tell them, then another 20 minutes for me to get a new one that was cold and dry.
Parking is 25.00 USD daily for valet and 18.00 daily for self park. They also charge a daily 35.00 destination fee.
Marriott will not give credit for nights stayed here if you book with a group. You have to spend hours on the phone with Marriott begging for credit for dollars spent as well.

Room tip: Not a good place to book groups. No credit for nights nor for dollars spent.

Guest hallways and rooms are poorly lit and in bad shape. Stained furniture. Holes in curtains. Significant rust stains in the shower. etc. Rooms facing the road get significant noise, especially from the stream of emergency vehicles driving through all night.

Lobby is nice if not a mismatch of odd spaces.

Electronic key doesn’t work in elevator, requiring me to wait in a long line to check-in. What’s the point of checking in on the app, then?

Westin used to be a flagship brand. This place was such a disappointment.

Room tip: The best rooms are at other hotels.

Good off-strip option for a Vegas stay. Staff was friendly and housekeeping is outstanding. Housekeeping is very responsive to requests. The restaurant was great, too! Ate there several times and everything was tasty. Definitely worth a repeat stay.
