This was our first time in Vegas and it was amazing!! From checking in, to the staff walking around, the events & food, it all feels like a dream the whole time. I love being on the strip because it makes everything easy to get to and I’d definitely stay at the Luxor again - it really felt like home by the end of the trip.
Parking was too expensive for a staying guest. Whole extra charge for leaving hotel for the day adventures.
Avoid this hotel unless the low room rates are more important than a minimum 20-minute wait to check in. We arrived around 4 pm on a Monday and the the line was already so long it looked as if we were waiting for a DisneyWorld ride. They have staff members wandering around suggesting you use mobile check-in while standing in line. It proved to be an arduous process that we finally abandon. There were computer-like machines off to the left but no one was using them. What was their point if not to be used? We asked the front-desk clerk if the check in line was always like this and she smiled and said, oh it gets a lot worse. The room itself, while spacious, lacked amenities as if you were staying in a Hotel 6. And forget about visiting the casino unless you want to be overwhelmed by the smoking and the crowds. Ah, Vegas
My wife found two cockroaches inside the bathroom and they had a dryer on at all times right outside my room which prevented me from sleeping during my stay.
My husband is 6’3 and has bad knees and just had back surgery 2 months ago. It was hard for him to sit on such a short toilet.
The elevators are old and squeak, there is no refrigerator or coffee makers in the room.
The staff was very helpful to point you in the right direction and some of the staff even walked with you to where you want to go. I don’t think I would stay at the Luxor on my next visit due to the toilets and elevator
