A freak spring storm descended on us as we drove south of Helena MT, upon pulling off the road we encountered Elkhorn. The staff was kind and welcoming. I found it likewise a refreshing alternative to high priced over fluffed boxish genetic hotels.
Someone is trying.. the front is covered in attractive field stone. The lobby had tables newspapers and24/7 coffee. A lovely little “ something to get you going” breakfast hit the spot.
We felt comfortable here and stayed an extra day to go back and explore Helena a little more. iT is with 15 minutes( over the pass ) to boulder hot springs so we stayed here and did a day soak there.
Everything that needed to be clean was. Beds seem new on par or better than most 140 dollar range chain hotels. Hotels rooms extend back into fields with Small MT views.
This made our sleep very quiet.
We stayed on first floor. The sound proofing was very exceptionally good. I slept soundly.
Only Draw back ( perhaps particular to the sudden shift in weather or our room) it was a little cold , remedied by a small blanket throw.
Drawback 2 I found a slight need of a detailed check of rooms.. I foubd a cup cover under our table.
All in al very nice!!
I was made to feel Very welcome
Very convient to Helena and Boulder without a high price tag.
And pets stays are welcome here too, we had no pets, but for those struggling to find a clean, quiet , beautiful hotel that do not treat pet owners second rate.. this is the place for you.
I love the safe, cute hamlet of Jefferson City.
It had a very nice walking path starting at the hotel, and an excellent local breakfast place with in walking distance. A local library is in walking distance, plus bars, and a very clean gas station.
I loved it!!!!!was surprised and delighted.
