Positives: Fast check – in, Connor was courteous, plenty of parking, clean lobby, elevator, and room. When lacking amenities inventory, they brought to me immediately. Honored Marriott membership with a welcome gift in a bag.

Negatives:
• Hot water not hot enough. Connor said it’s Montana state law, but I stayed in Delta by Marriott down the same street in Helena, in mid-November 2021, and the hot shower was really hot. He then changed his explanation saying he would ask the maintenance look at it. The hot water was hot when I first checked but for some reason got cooler. Connor who is also the manager, offered to provide two complimentary frozen items from the minimarket next to the lobby.
I rather the hot water is hot, not warm than getting the frozen foods, especially the selections aren't something I could use.
• Very loud central air – even louder in the morning, was woken up at 5:30am.

Additional Info:
* The payment to this hotel did not go through when handled by Connor, I caught it later. Spoke with Kim, another staff, weeks later to resolve it and to ensure they are paid. For this hotel, you may want to check the invoice and payment receipt more carefully to ensure all charges are right and done right. Kim's manager, Kaela was also helpful in resolving it.

This hotel would have earned a 4.0 if they had provided hot shower, not cold; and that Connor would provide a more realistic explanation instead of providing inconsistent answers or pulling in state law as an excuse.
It should have earned a 5 out of 5 if the central air isn't so loud. This hotel's central air is a lot louder and noisier than most other hotels, which impacts sleeping quality.

As a travel agent I always stay with Marriott I find them to be very reliable. This hotel is different its older, the front desk person was good, the lobby is very small, the room itself was ok fridge, microwave, but was totally turned off when i went to use bathroom and it had been used and left dirt, that made me almost sick, there were no towels and no glasses, i called for housekeeping they were very good but this is not acceptable to have a dirty used bathroom. I will not be recommending this to my clients.

Initially, we had difficulty with the Google map directions to the property. Then the entrance to the parking lot was not suitable for low clearance vehicles. The entry to the hotel was not clean. The gentleman came in from outside to do my checkin. He was very limited in his greeting or communication. He then had trouble with the credit card since I had booked and paid direct on the Marriott app. After all that, he gave us keys to a dirty room. After getting us another room, and two complimentary water bottles and candy bars, we settled in. Even though the room had been renovated, the tub and shower were small. The mattress was overly soft and the springs made noise. I expect that some may have been broken. I did not feel safe in the hotel, although there were very few guests. We did not check any other amenities. We left as soon as possible in the morning. This was a poor representation of the Marriott name.

The large, well-lit room had two comfortable chairs and beds. There was a mini-fridge (no freezer) and a microwave. The air conditioning worked well during the heat wave. The sink area was separate from the shower/toilet room. The sink area was tiny and poorly lit, with almost no space for toiletries. The shower head was good, but there was some variation in water temperature. We were not happy with the breakfast; the cooked oatmeal and hot and cold items were not well stocked.

We really enjoyed this hotel. The rooms were very clean, and well laid out. It was easy to unpack for a couple of days and get comfortable. The beds comfortable and the AC worked quietly, so we slept well. The bathroom was clean and had good fixtures. The hallways were bright and clean, the lobby and breakfast were also fine. Pleasant and helpful staff.

Room tip: ask to be on the street side

Make no mistake this is an older hotel and needs some updating. Woukd have given 4 stars but Emily at the front desk got them an extra star.

Very friendly and recognized my bonvoy status. She checked us in at 730pm and was there in tge morning for breakfast and when we checked out. Always a smile and friendly. Pulled double duty by running the front desk and keeping tge breakfast area well stocked. I appreciate the dedication.

Room was clean but mattress and TV need updated.
