The hotel was well priced. I was on a road trip and driving through. Just needed a room for the night. The bed was comfortable. The age of the hotel is noticeable, the furniture is dated, the tub rust stained, the cold handle on the bathroom sink spun around. You had to place it in the right spot for the water to turn off. There were only 2 lamps in the room and one of them went out during the night.
After spending three nights in a different, and inadequate, hotel, the Budget Inn Express was a distinct upgrade. There is nothing fancy here, but the room was clean, the staff friendly, and everything worked as expected. I would stay here the next time I am in Helena.
We've been to Glacier National park 2 times, and both times, we booked a night at this motel because it's price is reasonable although the quality is not high. The room look rather old, not spacious, but it's ok to stay for 1 night, the room in this time was better than last time because there was a table in the room this time.
I really liked this motel, the front desk clerk was helpful. The weather in Helena was really windy and cold, but my motel room was warm and inviting. The price was very reasonable, no breakfast but with the wonderful price of 62 dollars, it was wonderful.
Stayed there twice in the last 30 days, both times it was pretty cold outside but the heater worked well. Convenient to downtown and the price is right. I would stay there again. The staff at the desk are all friendly and helpful and the room was very clean.
