This church is in the older part of town and fairly near the capital. It’s a large church and looks pretty nice. It does have some construction going on right now.

Park up in the road and walk over to the Cathedral of St Helena. The stain glass windows are truly something to see. A lovely place to visit and remember loved ones.
Breathtaking is all I can say. The architecture, the stain glass windows, the peace and tranquility you feel when you walk inside the cathedral is just incredible. This is diocese for all of Montana and it is worth a visit to see. It is beautiful in its simplicity. Unlike the cathedrals you would see in Europe this definitely has the Western mentality in its design...clean, simple, to the point and because of this it still manages to take your breath away. The stain glass windows are incredible and rarely have I seen so much in one building. You kind of expect it in places like England or Germany or France or even St, Patricks in NYC but to see these windows in all their glory and splendor is just awe inspiring. The folks in Helena have a lot to be proud of and definitely have some solid bragging rights when it comes to their Cathedral. Go see this. You will not be disappointed.
The church is very nice but the stained glass is the highlight. I’ve been to countless churches in the US and Europe and I don’t think I’ve ever seen more stained glass in a church. It was everywhere and was extremely impressive.
Beautiful cathedral. If nothing else, go see the incredible glass. It was built 1904, but it easily looks older and reminds me of the churches in Europe. If you go on a Saturday in spring/summer, they run a farmers market which was awesome!
We were surprised to find such a beautiful Cathedral in Montana. It felt like stepping into a Cathedral in Europe. It is finished in exquisite detail with beautiful stained glass windows.
