This hotel has basically become one large dog kennel. We paid for adjoining rooms for our family with small children and were told the only one available was in the basement which is also known as the “dog floor.” We were surrounded by dogs barking, howling, yapping at all hours. It smelled like dog food and wet dogs in the hallway. I was even attacked by some unleashed dogs in the hallway at one point! Our son is deathly afraid of dogs unfortunately, so this made our experience particularly stressful. An older gentleman even brought his very large dog, who was extremely nervous and anxious, into the packed small area for the continental breakfast. I have no problem with animals, but there should have been another option for people paying extra to change rooms when they didn’t appreciate being surrounded by animals. The staff were very nice and the location is convenient but for the price, I will be going to the doubletree downtown for my next visit.
