Stayed at the Certificate of Excellence Helena HIE on Sun 7/21/19 as a 20K point reward night. This was our first stay at this property. Unusual but true - NO MINI FRIDGE in room. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay and hope to return.

The 3 story hotel is an older model located just off the freeway with other hotels, shopping and auto services nearby. Lots of food within walking distance (Buffalo Wild Wings, Pizza, others). Plenty of free well lit parking.

Check in was fast and business-like. Lobby had a newer design and was clean. Cookies were available near desk. Signage was good both externally and internally. Elevators near the front desk had an average size cabin that took us upstairs.

Hallway width was average with clean carpets and good lighting. Room access was via a standard card reader. No issues with locking mechanism. Luggage went on a dedicated luggage shelf. Our 2Q room was large and clean with all expected amenities… except there was no mini fridge. Been a long time since we had an IHG room with no place to keep the beer cold.

Multiple power outlets were available between beds. Wifi access was via IHG connect and was stable. The mid size TV had plenty of fast switching channels. HVAC controls were wall mounted and the unit was quiet and efficient.

Beds were comfortable with clean sheets and four pillows. Everything in the average size bathroom worked as designed. Shower had average water pressure and plenty of clean towels.

Room was quiet and overall maintenance was good. Breakfast area was attractive with plenty of seating but typical hotel food. Had fresh pre-open coffee but did not stay for breakfast.

Bottom line: We enjoyed our stay and hope to return.
