Location was easy to get to (just off the interstate), and we appreciated the free shuttle from the airport. But the motel itself was not anywhere we'd stay again. It was tucked away behind a gas station and next to a Best Western Plus. Our room faced a relatively busy road. We paid just over $300 for one night (using a corporate discount) which is atrocious for a Day's Inn. At that rate, you can get a very nice (even oceanfront) hotel room in Florida where we are from. But everywhere else was going to cost around $500 for the night so apparently Bozeman is just an expensive place to stay. That said, if I ever had to stay in Bozeman again, I'd pay more for a better room.
This was supposed to be a renovated property but the room we stayed in smelled very musty and the floors were dirty. We did not take off our socks. It appeared that the room may have previously been a smoking room and they attempted to paint over the ceiling and walls to mask the smell. The a/c was not on when we arrived and the room was warm so we had to play around with the controls to make it stay on. We found a hair in the bathroom and gunk on the wall around the sink. Our kids did not want to shower in the bathroom, though the tub itself was clean. The sheets were clean but the pillows were too soft and flattened almost immediately when we laid down. Our reservation clearly indicated we had 5 people but when we checked in, we had two double beds so only enough room for 4. We had to pay another $10 for a rollaway for our son. I know a rollaway charge is standard, but having to pay that on top of the outrageous room charge did not earn them any points. Free continental breakfast was decent. They had bananas, apples, and oranges, make-your-own waffles, muffins, Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches, oatmeal, and cereal. They also had juice, milk, water, and coffee. They supposedly had a hot breakfast bar but it was closed when we stayed - there was a sign apologizing but no explanation why.
I expected more for $300 a night, but unfortunately, this property did not live up to our expectations, and we would not recommend it.
