Only in Bozeman...

We prefer to patronize ma and pa motels as opposed to the chains. We loved the fact you drive right up to your room door at the Ranch House Motel!

The room was clean, folks friendly, WiFi worked, but the bathroom desperately needs an update. Room décor was charmlessly dated, electrical outlets sparse, and property rustic. We were rudely awakened the next morning by the feller next door firing up and gunning his nasty-sounding motorcycle. What we didn’t like was no coffee available in the morning and the price. Only in Bozman could this experience command $85/night.

Room Tip: The Motel 6 may be a better value proposition...

The Ranch House was very clean with comfortable bed. Basic services with a friendly staff. No bells and whistles but sufficient for someone looking for a quiet clean place to sleep. Our room was large with 2 double beds. No outlets near the beds/night table to charge phone.

This is a budget motel, nothing fancy. It was clean, the beds were comfortable and the towels thick. For $57 a night in Bozeman, a real deal. The location is very good and close to downtown, even walking distance.

Looks a little rough around the edges from the road, but aside from the motel 6, I'd venture to say this is the cheapest motel in Bozeman. Inside, the rooms were big, and had a decent tv. Paid around 50 for it, and thought it was a good deal. The pet deposit is cheap too.

We arrived late in Bozeman and needed a budget room for one (1) night for six (6) people. We weren't looking for major frills since we just needed some rest on our cross-country trek. There was one (1) woman working who took our friend to see a room that seemed to be away from the other "typical" rooms and took her behind a gate that was next to the front office. For $80.00 for six (6) people, we got, what appeared to be, a whole house! There was large living room with a fold out couch a couple of soft chairs, fake fireplace that lead to a dining room with just a table and four (4) chairs and then a full, yet dated, kitchen (but it was enough for us). Down from the front door there were two bedrooms with large and comfortable beds, TV's, dressers and lamps. The bathroom reminded me of those in my neighborhood from the 20's or 30's (but that is just fine) and, most importantly, it was clean. Part of the house was used for their laundry area and storage - there was a sliding door behind the dining room table covered in a curtain and you could see down into what looked like a enclosed porch that was there laundry, but no big deal. Admittedly, although the bed was very comfortable, #1 I had a horrible dream there and it took place in that house (I rarely remember dreams but remember this one), but this is no reflection on the place and #2 I did hear a lot of noices and banging sounds during the stay, which could have been someone in the laundry / storage area etc. Again, like many of the motels along the way - no ice machine!

Room tip: Ask to see the rooms first!

We stayed one night on October 13th, 2014. It was late and all we wanted was a clean place to sleep and not spend the money for an up scale motel/hotel ($60.85 total). It was late and the only room left was the Ranch House. It was two bedroom, living room, kitchen and bath (tub& shower). It was old but it was clean and the king size bed was very comfy. The only staff person we met was great, nice, cordial and helpful. We didn't check out any other rooms (no need). When we got back home (Colorado-Denver area) we discovered we had left our pillows (we travel with our own pillows due to neck issues) at the Motel. We called them and they had found them and said they would send them to use. They asked for our mailing address. In a few days a box showed up with our pillows. I put a check in the mail to them to cover their expense and for their trouble ($25.00). Not many places would have taken the trouble or would have asked for payment up front. So it was a good experience.

Room tip: Ask for the Ranch House.
