Good for walking, running, or biking and enjoying the scenery. Walked and jogged several times during our visit and the leaves were changing colors. Absolutely breathtaking! Not crowded at all - highly recommend.

My husband and I took our 14-year-old son on our biking adventure, starting in Clinton and arriving back in St. Charles 6 days later. It was a fabulous family time! The trail is so well maintained and SAFE.

This is one of the most beautifully maintained trails we have used. We started at St Charles and rode for 75 miles. Many stores and restaurants are closed on Monday and Tuesday and we found many closed until F-S-S after Labor day. So, be sure to take food and water as it can be difficult to find these services on the trails. Benches and bathrooms are provided along the way with some very nice trail heads. Beware hammock campers, we found several of the campgrounds dissed hammocks (I almost felt like I had the plague). Just be prepared and plan ahead.

You will love this trail.

Katy Trail is a great place to bike, hike or take a walk. Trails are for the most part, flat and easy to navigate.
