Lovely and peaceful

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 17 Jan 2019
We stayed overnight and arrived quite early but this wasn't a problem. The owner checked if our cabin was ready and it was so we could get in straight away. They are dog friendly as long as they are notified, so we took our little dog and it was no problem. The cabin was immaculate and the facilities were very clean and easy to use. The layout is spacious for caravans and campervans. Just bought a campervan so we will be going back.

Good location, clean & functional facilities, super awesome and funny animals (alpacas, sheep, ram.. but the three adorable goats were our favourites!). Nicest camping site we've been to. Managers made us feel very welcome. I got some fishing tips that lead to me catching the biggest trout of the trip. Will visit again and recommend to anyone. However in the night beware of flying monsters aka huhu beetles if you're near a light source!

Clean, organised and well run. The facilities are excellent and a great place to bbq on gas, do laundry (remember $2 coins as the office not always open) and have a nice warm shower. Plenty of space for kids to run around and feed the farm animals (food provided for free by owner). The wifi worked for some of us. The setting is not as picturesque as some other camps but a great location en route from Queenstown to Milford Sound (especially if you did not pre-book in Te Anau).

Mossburn-Park, Owner at Mossburn Country Park, responded to this reviewResponded 3 January 2019

Our reception is open from 2pm to 9:30pm.
However, if you need anything at all, we are always available throughout the day until 10pm at night. We believe this is ample time to get coins for washing machines and dryers. After 10pm, well, we want to get to bed.
Thanks.

We were looking for a campervan site pitstop between Milford Sound and Queenstown and found this gem of a place, Mossburn Country Park. There was ample space to park and roam about, and to my kids' delight, lots of animals to feed (alpacas, goats, sheep, cows, and even chicken and peacocks!). The animals look like they are well-cared for and were sprightly and happy!

The kitchen and toilets were clean, and ample of shower facilities on-site.

All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Definitely recommended!

Lovely campsite. Great after busy days in Queenstown. Spacious, super clean, well maintained. The lady at the reception was really friendly. 500mb of free wifi and hot nice showers.
We loved the little lounges next to the facilities and loved feeding the animals too.
We will maybe be back after the Milford Sound.

The owners of the park have thought of everything... The amenities are great...there is a kitchen with four toasters four jugs and for cooktops...bloody amazing...as well as cutlery and dishes..there are two little reading rooms and as many sheep alpacas as you can snuggle..as well as some gorgeous goats... We stayed there is our motorhome on the lush green lawn.. Our girls loved every minute..we wished we stayed longer...
