Just a couple of minutes from chesil beach on the Dorset coast down a road to the beach car park,. that close for the fisherman in the family. Nicely kept two bed chalet in its own garden and porch in the sun with furniture which overlooks fields and the sea below. very well equipped for a small family with two bedrooms, one double and one with a bunk above it. plenty of heating available and included in the very good prices.great warm shower and even heated towel rail. I would have given it 5 if the wifi was robust but it wasnt so bear in mind if essential to you. 4.5 really . mobile coverage scanty in the chalet but not their fault. we did get it higher up the hill. common by the seaside. Also very nice hamper found on arrival, thank you. and all essentials like foil, washing up gear etc all there to use. Plenty to do nearby including fair restaurants and lovely hosts next door. Totally recommend.
Once again a very pleasant comfy cozy stay at the chalet ! Always clean and tidy on arrival ! Can't wait to get back down there.
10/10 perfect little chalet
Lodge has everything you need ,milk and welcome basket a lovely touch great use of the bar be que cooking fresh fish caught down the beach which is only a five minute walk .
Views of the sea from the secluded garden although a little overgrown to see in seating position !!!
Would of been nice to eat from somwhere on or by beach other than club house which didnt welcome short wearing people and looked a bit unwell coming with signs saying so but we would recommend lodge to people who love to fish and relax
We had a lovely week in Dorset. The accommodation was exactly as described and everything we were hoping for. Tucked away in a private driveway, it was peaceful and a short walk straight to a very quiet beach. Would highly recommend to others. The welcome pack was a lovely personal touch and gratefully received especially with 2 children. At the top of the road there was a lovely pub/restaurant called The Manor that served good home cooked food though a little expensive. We would recommend The Clock Inn at Chideock. A family welcome pub with great prices and good food. Charmouth Beach is about a 15 minute drive in the car and we found this to be a fantastic beach for the children, as the stones are much bigger and easier to walk on and when the tide goes out there is sand for them to play on. Plus it's only £3 to park for the day.
West Bay (Broadchurch for the fans) is about a 10 minute drive away from Chesil lodge in the car. £2 to park there for the day too. Beautiful views across the Dorset coastline with a lovely harbour.
