My wife and I were coming off a stressful two weeks of non-stop work and weekend overtime and looking for a relaxing two day getaway to decompress and A Captain's Quarters B&B Inn just fit the bill perfectly! The inn was ship shape and we just adored the delightful touches of mariner life scattered throughout the lovingly restored 1859 home.

We stayed in the Captain's Suite, which is the largest room in the inn and it was perfect. The king-sized bed gave us a good night's rest and the room was quiet. The bathroom was large with both a tub and a shower. The Wi-Fi kept us connected and our friends updated (and jealous) with pictures of our getaway.

The breakfasts were both delicious and healthy, with a generous egg dish, something you could pour syrup over each day, and a fruit cup with a wide assortment of beverages. Each room had their own table to sit at, but each was also close enough to enjoy the company of the other guests, if that was desired. It was a unique arrangement, but a friendly one.

The owners, Deb and Bill Ives, have been blessed with the gift of hospitality and it shines through from the moment you greet them at the door until Deb snaps your photo on her porch at the end of your stay. You truly feel as if you have made new friends before you leave. We stay at a lot of B&B's and not many can make you feel that way.

The inn itself is within walking distance of, well, **everything** in Lexington. The beach is two blocks east. The shops are two blocks south. The local grocery store is next door. A historic brewery and pub is right next to that. The local ice cream shop is one block west. The inn, in short, is in the perfect location, with the perfect hosts.

Room Tip: Captain's Suite is the largest, with the largest bathroom.

We stayed in the cozy cottage for our anniversary weekend. Deb and Bill were wonderful hosts. When we arrived, Deb showed us around their beautiful home, making sure we knew where to find snacks, coffee, tea, and water. Her breakfast of strawberry pancakes, omelets, sausage, and fresh fruit was hearty and delicious. We look forward to our return!

The most charming hosts with an equally charming beautifully restored historical house that defines clean. Bill and Deb have mastered every detail, to insure a magical almost trip back in time experience in their warm and inviting house. If your looking for a romantic, quiet, very fresh, clean and comfortable B&B-this is a must stay. The delicious breakfast alone will have you coming back for more. We had such a pleasant stay that we can't wait to return...we didn't want to leave. Incredible get-a-way area too!

could not ask for a better stay. Room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was fantastic. Bill and Deb are super hosts. They are very involved in the community and offer lots of help on things to do and places to eat. The location is just 1 block from the lake and the shops. Definitely would stay again on next visit to Lexington.

We stayed in the "garden house" at the Captain's Quarters B&B, but had full access to the main house. The cabin, and the whole facility was spotlessly clean, cozy, and beautifully decorated. The proprietors, Deb & Bill, were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was homemade with the finest ingredients and was delicious. Lexington is a lovely town, with quaint shops, restaurants, a winery, not to mention the mighty Lake Huron. This is a perfect get-away destination.

Room Tip: Garden House has a great deal of privacy, but we want to try the main house next time.
