Really not much to do there.. once you have seen it... dont have to return. Its nice in Spring for the Tulip Time visitors and the grounds are well kept.. just wish there was more to do....

If you like the idea of experiencing a taste of Europe a visit to Windmill Island Gardens is about as close as you can get. The original, from Holland, windmill is quiet a thing to see. Transported and rebuilt on the island with the canals and tulip gardens all around I'd something to see. The recreation of a Dutch street with its buildings and architecture are an added attraction. Note that it can be very busy in early May when the tulips are in full bloom but still a trip worth taking.

Interesting quaint Dutch village. Educational. Saw wheat being commercially ground in an actual windmill.
One disappoint, not being told that Holland Michigan residents, and tax payers get in free. Friends from Holland Michigan disappointed that fact was not posted or conveyed.

Windmill Island has something for all ages. Its a beautiful walk, fun for the kids and relaxing for the elderly. The tour through the Windmill is interesting and educational. Its a must see when visiting Holland in the spring.

This is an interesting place with the authentic Dutch windmill that still works. An authentically dressed person gives tours and explains everything. The tulips are gorgeous around May - fantastic family attraction!
