Holland State Park Beach

This is a beautiful beach on Lake Michigan. The only downside, the access into the park can be long backups on busy summer weekends. There is also camping available here. An enjoyable activity standing along the channel into Lake Macatawa, boatwatching on warm summer days. Do not miss this park.
A real treat is visiting the park in the winter. No fees, no lines and an absolutely breathtaking view of magnificent Lake Michigan with amazing ice floes and icebergs in the adjacent channel into Lake Macatawa.
An amazing place that should not be missed

Holland State Park, with Big Ted Lighthouse across the channel, is the best spot to swim, lay out on the beach and just relax. The concession store has a great selection of items for purchase and good food.
A walk out on the pier is memorable...bring your camera.
This is the most visited State Park in Michigan for these reasons.

Beautiful, huge beach...clean water with sandy bottom. Nice Center to buy anything you might have forgotten. Wooden walkway out to the beach making it easier to walk then walking in sand. Beautiful place to spend the day.

Get there early it does get very busy here during peak summer times. We even visit in the fall and its a great beach. Play ground, restrooms, and a nature building. State Park so there is an entry fee.

White sand beach, bright blue water and the Big Red Lighthouse. Great place to soak up the sun, swim, fish from the pier or watch sailboats come back through the channel after the Wednesday evening regatta in the summer. Its a Michigan State Park so you need a state recreation pass or pay a daily entry fee (tip: buy the annual pass because a daily is almost as much)
