Beautiful, huge beach...clean water with sandy bottom. Nice Center to buy anything you might have forgotten. Wooden walkway out to the beach making it easier to walk then walking in sand. Beautiful place to spend the day.

Get there early it does get very busy here during peak summer times. We even visit in the fall and its a great beach. Play ground, restrooms, and a nature building. State Park so there is an entry fee.

White sand beach, bright blue water and the Big Red Lighthouse. Great place to soak up the sun, swim, fish from the pier or watch sailboats come back through the channel after the Wednesday evening regatta in the summer. Its a Michigan State Park so you need a state recreation pass or pay a daily entry fee (tip: buy the annual pass because a daily is almost as much)

This is a very nice Michigan State park and beach. It can be very bust around the summer holidays. Travel in and out is a bit of pain since the last couple miles into the park is a narrow two lane road which can literally back up for two miles waiting to get into the park

If you are ever in the Holland , Michigan area you have to make sure you head out to Holland State Park Beach. It rivals the beaches of the Florida Gulf and is nicer then the Atlantic coast beaches. A wide beach with soft sand and plenty of room also good swimming, although no life guards. The channel also has a famous attraction the famous Big Red Lighthouse which guides you into the channel after the sun goes down. You can also set up your beach chair on the channel side of the beach and grill out of just watch the constant parade of boats go by on a summer day. You may even spot a giant yacht or even a massive freighter that may come down the channel.
