We were wow'd by Lucky's Cafe after chancing upon it while passing through Worcester on a family road-trip vacation. The food is amazingly fresh, healthy...and inexpensive! The friendly wait staff and low-key founder/owner chatted with us while we waited for the food to arrive. We enjoyed everything they served up...creative homemade omelettes, scrambled eggs, french toast, fresh (yes, same-morning fresh) bread, tasty O.J., and a perfectly ripe fruit bowl.

If you ever wanted a perfect combo of delicious breakfast / brunch for great prices from a nice, local proprietor and super-down-to-earth staff, this is it!

Bottom line: Go here!

*Pro tip: Be prepared for crowds during peak times. It's so worth it though!

After we found this place, we ate there every morning for breakfast and sometimes for lunch. Supper quaint cafe and diner that is locally owned. The food and prices were phenomenal!

First breakfast, I tried a veggie omelette and asked for extra onions and garlic. Didn't get either request. Omelette didn't have any other seasoning so it was very bland and, some of the vegetables released a lot of water into the omelette which also made it watery. Also disappointed that juices are bottled which makes them expensive.

Went several weeks later, and tried scrambled eggs and 1 Buttermilk pancake. They don't have pancakes as "sides" but the owner made an exception for me (this is a normal type of item in most restaurants). Unfortunately, the pancake was barely browned and had no flavor; no buttermilk snap to it at all.

I'm done giving chances with no improvement.

Nice cafeteria in a basement, to be honest i was lost trying to find the place but when i get there it was a nice impression. Friendly and clean atmosphere. The staff were super gently, i give them a 10+ for their customer service. I work at a hotel in the area and i would always recommend this place to my guests.

This is the best lunch spot, hidden away, but very worth the search. The peanut chicken soup is best in show. The daily specials are always the way to go. The burgers are fresh and delicious.
