We wanted to introduce Paul’s to our pals who had not been here before. They enjoyed it too!
The food:. wide variety of classic and unusual (meatball?) breakfast omelets are “named” for different people who have worked there… pretty funny! I had the corned beef hash omelet with cheddar cheese, which was big, fluffy, and very tasty. It came with double hash brown patties that were fresh, hot crispy outside/soft inside. The raisin toast was good – but not the best flavor mix with the corned beef (my fault). My husband had the crab cake eggs Benedict - Also yummy! We had enough left overs for to enjoy breakfast-for-dinner the next day!
Ambiance:. Paul's Dinner is a nondescript store front in a strip mall. Inside is a pleasant surprise... Good combination of tables and booths. The decorations are interesting including pictures of MANY people sporting Diner t-shirts at classic international tourist spots (Rio, Beijing...). The Fenway mural is fun. The 45s in the area by the bathrooms were quite the eclectic mix. Overall, clean and comfortable.
Service:. Friendly and helpful. Our meals were served quickly and steaming hot. No "check back" to make sure all was ok, but we could have flagged some one down if need be.
All in all, very good meal.
