El and Bill are genuinely the nicest, kindest and caring innkeepers. Upon arriving, Bill met us and immediately helped us unpack the car and offered us a glass of wine! After Bill showed us to our room, and provided a detailed tour which was wonderful, we met El.... You are the best El ! Our reservations were made at the last minute due to family medical concerns. When El knew of our problems she just went and upgraded our room! How special was that.

Breakfast and guests were wonderful. We will surely return and look forward to seeing our hosts which became our friends. Thanks so much for everything.

12 room inn but it didn't seem too large. Variety of rooms; entertainment area; in-room internet, TV. Complementary drinks and wonderful cookies. Wife sat and read in gazebo overlooking field. Outdoor pool not open. Host and hostess helped with directions and dinner reservations.

Room Tip: Spelled out correctly on their site... depends on requirements.

A complamantry glass of wine while getting a detailed tour of the inn, and its history, was a nice way to start our stay.

The room, the views, our private deck and location were all exactly what i was looking for.

Only 30 min away from home, felt hours away, so private and quaint.
Providence being only minutes away makes this the perfect location to relax and enjoy the city if desired.

Bill & El were full of information to help with our adventures.
We will be back to find out the secret recipe of their famous oatmeal . ..best i have ever had.

Thanks for having us!

We spend a wonderful Providence weekend in March staying at the Jacob Hill Inn. Bill and Eleanora think of every detail. Bill met us at our car when we pulled in and upgraded our room because they had a vacancy. As he took us to our room, he helped us with our bags and told us the history of the property and the house. They are clearly very proud of the Inn and the work they have done, and should be. We stayed in the Vanderbilt Suite. The room was lovely: very cozy with a nice bath for two and comfortable king sized bed. The breakfasts both mornings were outstanding. On the second morning, they remembered I preferred iced coffee and had it waiting when we got there. Both nights they made dinner recommendations for us, provided us with directions and made very helpful parking suggestions. The Inn is 10 minutes from downtown Providence and we have stayed in other inns and hotels in the area. This is by far the best option. Bill and Eleanora could not have been kinder or made us feel more welcome. We look forward to coming back!

The Jacob Hill Inn is located on a winding, country road with rolling hills that make you smile and relax before you even arrive. Impressive and comfortable, the innkeepers. Bill and Eleonora are truly knowledgeable of the area, and very accommodating to all. And breakfasts are awesome! It's areal treat to stay in a piece of local history that is genuinely comfortable and elegant.

Room Tip: Love the rooms with a view of the open fields!
