The Emerson Inn is a nice cozy place to go if you want to get a weekend away from the rat race. It has a nice 1920's type decor with a soothing atmosphere. The living room is comfortable and gives you nice sense of what it was like living in that era. The indoor dinning room is nice, but one of the highlights of your stay will be eating breakfast on the front porch overlooking the ocean. It's also lovely sitting on the porch in a nice comfortable wooden rocking chair gazing out over the ocean. The staff is nice and accommodating.

Don't go to the Inn if you looking to stretch out in a big luxurious room with a king size bed. That won't be the care, the rooms a barley adequate and not meant to chill out in all day long. If your looking to swim in large hotel type pool or get a beautiful sun tan on gorgeous sandy beach, you will be disappointed, you can't do either. Also, don't expect to dine in an upscale restaurant, the dinning room is not even close to that. The food is not up to par and very over priced. Eat in the nice little coastal towns with the no frills restaurants where the locals do. They have very nice waiters/waitresses and some of the best seafood you will ever eat.

I give the Emerson Inn a high rating because it is what I said it is,a nice cozy Inn right on the ocean...

Hi there - Thank you for taking the time to write us a review. I am glad that you enjoyed the decor and atmosphere of our newly renovated hotel and also were able to spend some time relaxing on the veranda looking out to the ocean. While some of our rooms are on the smaller side, which tends to be typical in a historical property, we do have guest rooms that have king size beds in them and that are on the larger side, which our Guest Services Team would be happy to set you up with the next time you take a trip to come visit us. I am sorry to hear that our restaurant did not live up to your standards. If you have a moment, please contact us at the Inn to give us some insight into your experience so that we can improve our dining operation. Thank you again and we hope to host you again during your next trip to Rockport!

We stayed here for the first time this weekend but it won't our last. A lovely, newly renovated inn on the ocean with exceptionally warm and welcoming staff. Rooms are tastefully decorated. Our king bed was a four-poster -- really comfortable. Get an ocean view and watch the sun come up to wake you. Dinner at the Pigeon Cove Tavern (part of the inn) was delicious!

Room Tip: Ocean views are spectacular

Classical white summer beach hotel. The design bring back memories of lost times, where turists in white clothes and white hats went on vacation at the sea. The room we were allocated at first wasn’t cleaned. After much apologies from the nice receptionist, we got at better room with a better view of the ocean. So no harm done. There are complementary coffee available in the reception, and a nice front porch to sit in rocking chairs and nip the coffee while looking out on the ocean. There are no lift, so you have to carry your bags to the room via the staircase.
The breakfast is nice, with everything you need. Do try the blue berry pancakes they are delicious.

We spent 2 nights of our anniversary trip at the Emerson Inn. It was a beautiful historic inn. We stayed on the 4th floor and had a gorgeous ocean view! The sunrises were breathtaking! Friendly staff.

I chose the Emerson Inn for a Surprise birthday party for my spouse. The buffet menu was perfect..EVERY detail I chose was seen to. Friends who stayed overnight at the Inn raved equally abut the views from their rooms and the staff. The events staff made this a no-brainer and added so many small touches to make this perfect. BTW, it was MORE than fairly priced!

Room Tip: Pay a little more for a balcony room!
