This is a magnificent and imposing structure serving as the center of town government and serving as a preforming art venue. Even with a major renovation that was finished in 2010 it has not lost a bit of its old charm. The front reflects the town roots as a fishing village. The inside has an ornately, but understated beauty with rich deep wood floors, chair walls and trim. Large historical murals are throughout. The lower level is dedicated to the business of running the town including clerks, licencing, and residential and commercial needs etc. The two staircases flanking the foyer lead to the second floor, opening to a grand landing which overlooks Commercial Street. This is where the theater is and all forms of entertainment are performed. The third level is the balcony section generally accessible only at show times. Free to enter it is an amazing part of the towns past and present.
