“Rambling Maine property”

Rambling country property on a large plot. Well equipped kitchen. About an hours drive from Acadia National Park. Grocery shopping close by in either Searsport or Belfast. Penobscot Bay is very pretty - Castigne well worth a visit. Not quite up to English Country Cottages standards (some of the electrics left a little to be desired and there was evidence of mice, but it is a country property) and we did have problems with the key entry box, but the cleaner kindly sorted this out for us. Although away from the main road, this can be a bit noisy. A good base for our short visit to Maine.

“Cozy home in an enchanting setting”
Reviewed 6 October 2015 for a stay in October 2015

Had such a nice time walking along Penobscot Bay beach and to Moose Point State Park. Very convenient to Searsport and Belfast but feels secluded and very cozy. It is obvious the home is well loved and enjoyed.

“Peaceful and scenic”
Reviewed 20 September 2015 for a stay in June 2015

This was a wonderful stay. The view from our bed in the morning was lovely looking out on the bay. The room was clean comfortable. We took our dog and worked out well. There is a lot of grass area for walking dog and a wonderful dog park close by. Would stay again.

Liked best: convenience to downtown Belfast. Quiet location.
Liked least: The utiity room/garage was down a lane behind our cabin. Noise from cars during day.
