Visiting castles in France is delightful, and Vascoeuil had a very romantic one in a lovely garden. What is perhaps less interesting to some, is that both park and castle are filled with modern art. Some of it by big names, like Vasarely and Dali, but also by lesser known artists. So if you expect to visit a castle filled with old furniture and historic artefacts, you want to give Vascoeuil a miss. If, however, you are interested in contemporary art in an exceptional setting, then this place is certainly worth visiting.

Nothing to dislike. What a way to have lived! It must cost the French iovernment a fortune to keep this open.
