A very pleasant place to relax with the family, with an excellent swimming pool and a spectacular beach. The whole team is spectacular.

We had an amazing stay. The food, especially the buffet was exceptional. The beach was cleaned regularly and plenty of chairs, etc to relax. The pool was clean and again, plenty of chairs. The overall resort and grounds were clean and well attended. The room was excellent. We would absolutely stay again.

Recently stayed here for a week with my wife and daughters. If you read a lot of the reviews for this place, you will see they are all over the map. I would give it a solid 7 out of 10. Not excellent (although it could be) but well above average and a great value if you are travelling with your family.
ROOMS- We stayed in Buildings 4 & 5, both Privileged. You will see varying reviews on whether it's worth it for Privileged and in my opinion, it is. Rooms were pretty nice and the AC was cold. Power went out in our daughter's room one day but they addressed it quickly. The only negative I can mention is the housekeeping was very spotty as we had to call the front desk several times for wash cloths and towels.
BEACH- The chairs were set up underneath clusters of palm trees and provided the perfect amount of shade. This is also another nice perk of Privileged, had it's own section and was never crowded while the other side was pretty packed each day. The water was beautiful the first half of the trip and had tons of seaweed on the back half. This isn't the resort's fault BUT both resorts on each side of us were much clearer.
FOOD- Overall wasn't bad, the only two places we were disappointed was the Mexican(go figure) and the Buffet. The Buffet was really hit or miss. The B'loved(privileged) place was solid, especially for breakfast. Really enjoyed the steakhouse, Italian and the Hibachi. Kids ordered room service quite a bit and the food trucks were great for lunch.
SERVICE- Outside of a couple people, the staff was VERY friendly and helpful. Drink service at the beach was hot & cold. Very good 70% of the time and non existent for the other 30%.
The entertainment was so-so but can say they tried really hard. If you have read any of these reviews you will know about the coati. If you have food, you have to stay with it for the duration as I saw several going through other peoples beach and pool bags. Outside of that, they arent overly bothersome. There is a monkey that lives on the property and is people friendly. Overall a very relaxing trip and would come back if it was the 4 of us. But if it was just my wife and I, would probably opt for Secrets next door.

Family rooms are small and outdated,drinks are cheap and you gotta pay if yo want a decent make ,poor entertainment ,service at the pool bar is poor even after you tip them,.
I would recommend the Grill restaurant as good quality food and great service .Hamburgers and fish tacos by the pool are nice.
No lamb,steaks or sea food at the buffet restaurant ,poor evening entertainment for families with kids or should I say non existent .Gotta wait 10 minutes for a cappuccino in the buffet ,no coffee machines so people can help themselves ,full of sea weed on the beach,children couldn’t play because of tractors cleaning it constant .Always a long queue at the bar by the pool .

Fantastic beach destination! Currently enjoying a 9 day vacation here. Food (buffet and a la cartes) is fresh, excellent quality, and great variety. Service is amazing, friendly staff. Beautiful beach, well maintained (the days when sargasso comes on shore it’s quickly removed). Plenty of loungers with lots of shade. Clean rooms, clean common areas, great views everywhere with beautiful garden areas and spectacular beach. Will definitely be back. Pool is nice, lots of activities throughout the day, but beach is the highlight here. Love the Catalonia Playa Maroma.
