Not much to add from the other comments, Rooms are woefully out of date, would not stay again. It may not be expensive but the reason why becomes pretty obvious. Shame as its a nice location, just sheer lack of care and effort from the owners.

Stayed here due to the attendance at a large function at the venue. Price £60 for a the Saturday night.
Externally the rooms look great. Internally, the room we stayed in was functional at best and very 'tired. If all rooms were the same as ours they could do with a refurbishment. We had 3 pillows between 2 of us and 2 towels between us - one small and one bath towel. I appreciate that the cost of the room included breakfast and use of the pool etc but I feel that, in its current state, it was a bit over priced. Would think twice about staying here again in its current state which is a shame as I'm sure that with a bit of care and attention it could be well worth the price paid.
There is a golf course on site but I cannot comment on it as I didn't end up playing it.

I arrived at 8.30am,the pool only had one other person in it but I was told that they were already running low on lockers.
The changing rooms have recently had some money spent on them but 2 shower cubicles were out of order and have been for a few weeks, don’t even bother with their hairdryers as they switch off every couple of minutes. The pool was pleasant but I noticed staff walking through from the outside without putting the plastic shoe covers on. I used the sauna and the jacuzzi, both were fine but a little tired, the rail very wobbly to the jacuzzi. The cup holder by the water dispenser is broken.
The club house is nice but some of the seating is very tired & grubby. I sat and had a tasty cappuccino with fab views of the golf course. The staff in the clubhouse & on reception are very friendly.
This place is ok, but could be so much better.

Not the best hotel by far Had a great night though with the quiz. Worth the visit. Food ok. Will give it another try. Sunday is the night. Golf course is great.
Would like to come back when its drier and maybe do better in the quiz.

Well what can i say came here for sunday lunch what a disappointment the starters were nice and would recommend the pate. But the carvery was terrible had all the meat there and this lovely looking joint of beef that had just been brought out so asked for some he put his knife in cut it and out poured the blood why do they not cook meat anymore does it take to much fuel and of course the customer is not right anymore.THE VEG WAS DISHED OUT TO US by a lady who was quite abrupt and it was just warm and not cooked well we left most of are meals and as we looked around so did quite a few why do people not complain anymore we did but got 2 starters knocked off not what i call satisfactory but was something but would never go back again so no more custom from us.NOT what we call a carvery.
