Very nice hotel, with great atmosphere at the weekend. Normally catering for weddings and receptions. Seems to be the place to go.
Friendly staff, very attentive from Front of house to back. Rooms were spacious, easy access to large bathroom. Well catered rooms, with ironing board, TV, radio, mini bar, umbrella etc. Clean everywhere.

Slight negative, everything is extra, from breakfast, parking and drinks prices are inline with a high end hotel.
Small garden area, no swimming pool.

Dear dave p,
Thank you for your review and we appreciate your kind words about our team, rooms and amenities. We are delighted you enjoyed your stay. We also appreciate your comments about our amenities that require a fee. Our valet parking is $12 per overnight, less than 1/2 of the other hotels in Covington and 1/3rd of Cincinnati Hotels. Breakfast is also very reasonable with items starting at around $5, our cocktails are truly craft cocktails and use some of the finest ingredients available prepared by some of the most skilled bartenders in the business. We hope all of these facts entice you to return again soon.

Kindest Regards,
Jack G Olshan, General Manager

Close to downtown Cincy, Great American Ballpark, and the Northern KY Convention Center. Home of the best old fashioned made in America...bar none. Nice rooms and good food at Coppins, the hotel restaurant.

Dear Bjaygee,
Thank you for your 5 star review. Some folks don't realize how truly close we are to Cincinnati's Downtown and attractions. We are less than 1 mile to Cincinnati and it can be a beautiful walk; especially if you take advantage of the historic Roebling Bridge. We hope this was only the first of many visits.

We stayed at Hotel Covington for a weekend in February 2018. From the moment we stepped in the doors, I knew this hotel was something special. The lobby was knock you down STUNNING. The light fixtures, the various couches and seating arrangements, tables and the bar were gorgeous. We loved spending time having our coffee & reading in the lobby each morning. Speaking of coffee, you get tokens for a free cup each morning from the coffee bar and the coffee is amazing. Definitely take advantage of this.

The lobby bar was outstanding! We spent hours on Saturday night just hanging out, drinking and people watching. The place was so busy which made it a really fun place to sit and drink. The bartenders were top notch and the drinks were marvelous.

The outdoor patio looked like it would be amazing during the warmer months, but alas, we visited on a very rainy and cold February. We also did not eat at the hotel restaurant because we had already planned out where we wanted to go over the weekend. But I can say, all the food we saw served looked delicious. I wish we would have dined at the hotel.

Now about our room. Hands down, the most beautiful hotel room I have ever stayed in. We stayed in the Madison King Deluxe, room 716. This is on the top floor, corner room. The ceilings towered over us and the windows had luxurious velvet floor to ceiling curtains that blocked even the brightest of sunny mornings. Windows on both sides made the room feel even bigger than it already was. The bed and bedding was very comfortable and clean. The bathroom was a good size, with a walk in, glass doored modern shower. Water pressure was excellent. We loved the bluetooth alarm clock/speaker that we could connect to. It was nice to have our own music playing. The mini bar was stocked with local goods and there was also a tray of items your could purchase. Very fun touches.

The valet fee of $12/night was reasonable in my opinion. The area the hotel is in doesn't have much going on within walking distance. There is a Mexican tequila bar across the street, but that's pretty much it. You have to drive over the river into Cincinnati proper (Findlay Market is approx a 15-20min Uber trip from the hotel) or travel down to Main Street (0.5 mile to the West) in order to find places to eat/drink.

Room Tip: Room 716 is a huge corner room, beautiful & quiet. The windows are to die for!!!

Dear Jennifer M,
Thank you for your wonderful 5 star review! We are delighted to read that you enjoyed so many aspects of Hotel Covington. Many of the aspects that you mentioned specifically are things that we sourced from local businesses or artisans. Our light fixtures were made by a terrific local husband and wife team, the coffee is sourced from Newport, KY's own Carabello Coffee and our interior design was also done by a local firm. We are sorry you did not get to experience our outdoor dining space, but the Courtyard is officially open for the season and is the place to be right now. We even have a fire going if the evening is on the cooler side. Not to mention our late-night Walk-Up window in the alley. This is another great spot you'll want to check out when you return during a warmer month.
We love to hear our guests gush over our rooms. We feel they are truly some of the best hotel rooms in the Greater Cincinnati region; again with several local touches. We truly appreciate the wonderful review and we look forward to welcoming you again soon.

Kindest Regards,
Jack G Olshan, General Manager

I had the pleasure of staying here while I was on busy in Cincinnati. Very worth making the short trip across state lines to experience the hotel and onsite restaurant. We were greeted by polite front desk staff before walking into our elegant and modern rooms.
If you're ever traveling to the area I'd recommend staying here or at least getting some food and drinks.

Dear Travelcpl1325,
Thank you for your review and we appreciate your encouragement to our future guests to cross the Ohio River for the truly unique experience that is Hotel Covington. Sometimes people do not realize how truly close we are to downtown Cincinnati, (less than 1 mile). We also take great pride in our Restaurant and Bar scene. We strive daily to make our guests feel like a local and our locals, feel like family. We call that "Translocal Hospitality" and we are proud to say; There is nothing else like it. We hope we can welcome you again soon and earn your 5th star for your next review.

This is one of the best hotels in the Covington area. I've stayed there 3 times, and every single time has been amazing. Always friendly, the parking is easy, there is a bar downstairs, and it's walking distance from a lot of other "night life". I highly recommend staying here if you're in need of a hotel, and have the extra money to spend!
