The restaurant was recommended to me by the desk clerk at the Courtyards by Marriott. I had wanted a local establishment with some atmosphere. This restaurant fit the bill and I will continue to visit when I am in the area.
With the decorations of our early history during the great days of our industrial age, some history of the early movers and shakers, makes one realize what we have inherited from the forefathers.
The food is very good and service is terrific. Everyone is helpful and as promised I will continue to support this establishment when in Valparaiso. This restaurant is good for family, friends, business or solo like myself.

We made reservations for 12 on a Saturday evening and only had to wait a few minutes to get seated. However seating was very tight and we were all crammed in. Thankfully the service and food was wonderful so that made the seating more bearable. Unique setting, family friendly (however no kids menu per say), train runs around the top of the restaurant so that is fun for kids to watch for. Many people ordered burgers and were happy with them. Sandwiches and baked potato soup were delicious!

After coming here last year on business, I was so pleased with Industrial Revolution - I had to come back. I had never seen so many minimum-wagers that seemed genuinely happy to be working! I loved the open kitchen, and watching the cooks - they also just seemed like they enjoyed what they did! The food was awesome, the service was fantastic, but the overall environment was the best!
Two weeks ago, I came back to Industrial Revolution, and wow what a change. I was talked to about the special so much, it was obnoxious. It must have been four times! I'm happy to hear it, but enough is enough... completely annoying. The table next to us sat dirty for at least 20 minutes, and who I assume was the busser watched tv outside your bar... Our server ended up cleaning the table anyways, and sweeping, without help. Our pretzels took 20 minutes, and our dinner came out 25 minutes after that. On top of that, the burger was cold and the plate was dirty! Our server was very apologetic and handled it as best she could. After all of this, I can't imagine having to serve there. I served for years, and it just seems like nothing flows - it's sad to see it go down the drain. What happened?

Industrial revolution is a great place to eat, I have tried quite a few things on the menu and have not had anything short of excellent meals here, the atmosphere is great as is the food, you won't be sorry you went here!

Staying in Valpo, and was looking for something different. Found this unique bar and grille and loved it. The bar area was warm, people friendly, and food and drinks were great. I wish they had a place like this in Florida. Christy working the bar recommended an excellent wine.....Chili was the best I have eaten in years. Next time back to Indiana will definitely make it a point to visit.
