Good variety of dishes and generous portions. Interesting interior decor plus patio seating. We were greeted and served promptly. Would be a great place to watch the big game. Only complaint: they put cinnamon and sugar on the sweet potatoes waffle fries.

O’Rourke’s is top of the list when going out with a crowd on a Friday night. Staff is attentive and courteous, place is lively and menu has choices for all. Top on our list were the pretzel bites, boneless wings with Guinness bbq sauce, and cod sandwich. Don’t forget the funnel cake fries! Parking deck right across the way too.

Our server Joe was super friendly and good. The Scotch Eggs appetizer at $9.99 was 2 eggs cut in half, served with spicy mustard. They do them quite well. We split the Pub Burger at $13.99, then we added Cheddar for $1. It was cooked as requested, juicy and delicious. It came with home made chips, potato chips, not the fish and chips type. They were also quite good. The place was comfortable and had a a good atmosphere. They had all the TVs turned to NCAA tournament basketball games. We had a nice lunch.

This has a great public house ambiance, and the place is large enough to hold large parties. Conveniently located close to Notre Dame's campus, with free 2-hour parking closeby, makes it well-located. The food was overall good, I had the reuben (they call it the Da'Blarney) and the meat was very tender. Reuben fritters were not good. Drinks were over-priced and gimmick, stick to what you know. My largest concern was how bad the fish and chips were, which I judge every pub/public house by. The fish was dry, not crispy, and oddly shaped, like flattened. It was no good. My only other issue was that the service was very slow.

Food is average to below average, much better options on Eddy Street, such as Brothers and Bru. If other options have long wait, might be worth it…
