Lovely hotel, clean, quiet, nice amenities. The staff was great, rooms are spacious. The pool was fantastic. The only thing I would knock off is if you are a woman travelling alone, the parking situation isn't ideal. The valet is discontinued right now due to pandemic, and the only parking lot is a tiny one behind the hotel next to the alley, if that's full you have to park across the street at the century center parking lot that is DARK and not monitored. My daughter and I were accosted crossing the street by an unsavory gentleman at 1030 pm at night, scared the life out of us, luckily a brunos driver showed up and he stepped away, but it did make us purchase pepper spray for the duration of our visit. I expressed my concern to the night clerk.

The staff, location and amenities of this Courtyard location were AMAZING for our family. From Melissa who served us breakfast, remembered later to ask how our son's team did in his hockey game that day, and offered to be ready with coffee the next morning when I mentioned the next game was at 6 am, to the front desk team who welcomed us. There's a FOOTBALL field* that kids can play on across the street, a chocolate store, amazing breakfast places with pancakes and french toast, all steps from the hotel entrance! (*The former College Football Hall of Fame was in South Bend.) My son asked if we could just live in this hotel. The Art Museum is across the street as well.

TripAdvisor said pet friendly. Told the clerk at check in. Got kicked out the next morning due to having a pet. Very rude and disrespectful. The website said pet friendly the staff didn’t like our dog or apparently like us even though we were respectful. Used the shower and the bed and that was it. This staff was very rude and we will never give Marriott our business again
