“What a great find!”
Reviewed 2 October 2013 for a stay in September 2013

Great place, more than enough space for 6 adults. Very modern with everything you need. We loved the location, peaceful and tranquil but just 2 miles from the centre of Bath. We took the canal boat from Bathampton Mill into Bath, we got this info from the very comprehensive details given to us by the owner. The boat guide was a mine of information and a bit of a comedian to boot!
This little cottage was a real find and excellent value for money.

“Brilliant! We'll be back!”
Reviewed 3 September 2013 for a stay in August 2013

We visited Bath to watch The Special Olympics. The apartment was just excellent! we had everything we needed and more. The apartment is very clean and modern. Beds are comfy, views are magnificent....we loved it. Accommodation is really flexiible and there was plenty of space for us. The location was ideal for us to get to Bath University and into the City. It was lovely being by the canal and very peaceful. Communication with the owners was excellent and very helpful. The wine, flowers and chocolates were a lovely surprise. We will definitely be back!

“wonderful place to stay”

We have just stayed at canal view for a few days break to celebrate my parthers 50th birthday. The photos do not do it justice as it has been decorated to a high standard and is much more spacious then the photographs portray. It is spotlessly clean, the beds were so comfortable none of us wanted to get up in the mornings! The owners are fantastic they give you so much information and keep in touch to help make your stay an even better one. They had left a bottle of wine and biscuits and there were fresh flowers in the lounge, such a nice touch. We can not fault canal view and will be back to have another wonderful weekend in the future.
The position on the canal is great it takes about 40 mins to walk the canal pathway to bath or you can walk a little way ( 5 mins) and get the boat from the mill which takes about 1/2 an hour and is £4 each way for an adult. We got a taxi from bath as it was sunday and the bus only went every hour and we had just misssed it. The fare was only £9.50 so it wasn't bad between the two couples. The george and the Bathampton mill pubs are near (reviews on TA....make up your own mind about those). We visited the Hope pole inn in bath and the meal was amazing....they also have the Salamander pub in the center of bath which again was great food all local and local ales. We also ate in the Raven pub in Bath which had the most wonderful pies ever and a chioce of some special flavoured gravies... enjoyed the atmosphere and the meal no end. The owners of canal view will tell you about their favourite places and pubs they are so helpful....Thank you both for your kindness we had an excellent stay.
We also hired a canal boat from bradford on avon for the day which was great fun.

“Fantastic Stay”

This place was perfect for our family, with 2 kids and grandma travelling with us. The place is very clean and comfortably furnished. Everything was in fine working order and we enjoyed the wine and snacks in the welcome basket. So convenient to have washer and full kitchen.
We loved the village of Bathampton -- walking to the pub, along the canal and to the shops. I was glad to be staying close, but away from the crowds in Bath. This way we could sight-see a bit in the day, then come back to Bathampton for a nice dinner and relaxing evening walk. Neighbors were friendly too. It's a great place and I'd stay here again.
