Made a reservation, was honored as soon as we arrived, although there were many people waiting. There was a reserved sign on our table.
Although extremely busy,a hot bread loaf topped with dried onions arrived immediately.
The beef ribs were delicious, a huge portion that we shared, we added an additional order of cold slaw. We asked for French fries to be crispy, arrived soggy, so we sent it back, the new order was fine.
Our waiter was very attentive.
The menu ranges from appetizers, salads, sandwiches, entrees, on a previous visit, the BBQ brisket sandwich was delicious.
Would definitely return, but only with a reservation.

Great casual place with a varied menu. Outstanding buttermilk chicken dinner (only on Sun.), the absolute best tomato Basil soup. Have different "specials" everyday of the week. Most of the servers are great....some not so great. The busboys are the best. I had the "chopped steak" which would be excellent, except of the large amount of onions/green peppers mixed in. Could barely finish half of it. Wish you could just order this w/o the add ins.....it would be much better...I rate it as just less a 3. Mashed potatoes are superior. No relish tray actually reduces it to below the supper club level. If want a great, great server.....request Emily.

The pub is delightful old-school. The staff was friendly and efficient and our food arrived in a well timed manner. We had the BLT deviled eggs and fried cheese curds (an area speciality) for apps and they were wonderful. I had a half slab of ribs and my dinner companion had the fried walleye and chips. Both dishes were outstanding. The prices were very reasonable as well. We are from the Philadelphia area and are so glad we stopped at L. Woods for dinner.
