“Could'nt get any more relaxed”
Reviewed 15 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

Just back from a long weekend in the Lakes and our fourth stay in Blelham Tarn, The cabin is situated in a beautiful wooded location and in our opinion has the best plot on the Neaum Crag estate. It is really well furnished snug & cozy, great to just kick back and relax in the evening with a glass of wine or three or if the sun is shining sit out on the decking over looking the Langdale valley. The cabin is equipped with everything you could possibly need there is a swimming pool and sauna a stones throw from the cabin. Ambleside is only a couple of minutes away by car also basic pub grub which is ok within walking distance and lots of great places to eat a short drive or cab ride away.
Blelham Tarn makes a great base for walking not that we managed to do much this time :-( recent car accident made any strenuous walking a no no, So we concentrated on the relaxing side of things :-) and Blelham Tarn is just the right place for that. There are couple of nice light walks right on the door step though, Loughrigg tarn three to fourish mile and a couple of nice loops around Elterwater. Keep an eye out in the garden for deer, red squirrels lots of rabbit's and ...... the pug !!

Already looking forward to the next visit

“Beautiful Log Cabin and Location 5* on both”
Reviewed 4 September 2015 for a stay in October 2014

Beautiful log cabin set in the heart of Ambleside. Has all the facilities that you could possible need and more. The swimming pool was within throwing distance of the cabin which was perfect. It is a drive (if your not into walking) into Ambleside but it is so worth it, cinema restaurants, shops and the beautiful lake that you can take a boat ride on. I would definitely recommend this cabin at this time of year as the trees were changing colour and it was just beautiful. The only thing was the decking was a little slippy with the rain but it wasn't a big enough problem to raise an issue we just had a to be a little careful. I also want to highly recommend the owners for their help as we did have a problem with some of the equipment but there was no hassle and it was fixed asap Thank you. If your looking for somewhere tranquil beautiful and relaxing at such a good rate it is the perfect place.

“Lovely accommodation in a perfect spot!”
Reviewed 2 September 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Stayed with my partner and children in August and we all really enjoyed it. The accommodation is excellent. Very well maintained and equipped with everything you need. We barbequed two nights and loved sitting outside in such a fabulous secluded setting. This place really is a little gem and I'd definitely recommend it and would stay again without hesitation

“Truly luxurious in a beautiful setting.”
Reviewed 1 September 2015 for a stay in March 2015

We found Blenham Tarn a lovely comfortable and well equipped cabin located in the most beautiful of surroundings.

Early spring mornings sat out on the patio looking out over the valley, taking in the lake-land's invigorating fresh air whilst listening to the birds was a delight to behold. Morning walks down to the nearby tarn were an every day pleasure for both us and our our pet Labrador and the newly laid free range eggs from a local cottage on the return journey were an unadvertised bonus.

The cabin is located only a short drive away from many of the South Lakeland attractions and amenities and the days flew by. Eating out was a pleasure with many pubs, restaurants and cafes close by. Returning to the warmth and relaxation of the cabin on an evening was a joy in itself.

A wonderful week was had by all and we shall not hesitate to book there again.

“Beautiful and peaceful, a real gem”
Reviewed 31 August 2015 for a stay in July 2014

We have stayed here a few times now and we are never disappointed. The location is great you really feel like you are in your own little world but not too far away from facilities you need. The cabin itself is very well maintained and spotlessly clean. All the fittings and utilities are great quality and being able to wash muddy clothes straight away is really handy.
If you are a nature lover there are a variety of species of birds and some great walks from the cabin. In the winter its super cosy and in the summer the deck area with bbq is great for entertaining.
Price wise you can pay a lot more for the equivalent accommodation elswhere. We'll be back in December!
