I’m afraid it should sound great however like others have said it’s a free for all fight till you drop to get on. Don’t expect polite tourists literally is a free for all cram on and it’s overpriced for what you get. Sorry to say I’d prob drive next time. Probably a once only experience for me!

Catch the tram from Port de Soller up to the town of Soller you can buy tickets on board @ €7 per person (single).
The journey is lovely in open backed wooden tram carriages. Have an explore and meal in Soller before returning home again. The trams run regularly and there are enough seats even when it’s busy.

The tram connects the old town of Soller and the beach of Port de Soller. Absolutely beautiful! Oneway ticket costs 7€, can be bought onboard.
From the beach back to Palma city we took the bus nr 211, which was also charming and was only 2.90€ per person.

My husband and I visited Port de Sóller and Sóller in June but this time, we made a return trip to the Port so we could take the tram to Sóller. It can get busy but the tram takes a lot of people and is only €7 each which you pay on the tram. The ride up to Sóller gives you a glimpse of life that you wouldn’t see if travelling by road and you see some lovely sights. A big benefit of taking the tram is that you don’t have to worry about parking in Sóller. At peak time, the teams run every 30 mins so you can take your time in either location and there are plenty of fabulous places to eat and drink.

At risk of being critical of this tourist experience, be aware that it is almost an open fight to get onto the tram. Absolutely no control of over excited tourists, all determined that they WILL be first on, and they WILL get a seat ! The staff do not control the access in any way at all so its a free-for-all.

Not mush to see in the small port, other than the normal cafes and restaurants alongside tourist shops selling the standard seaside 'tack'.

We abandoned the tram return journey, and opted for the taxi - cheaper, air conditioned and a comfy seat. We arrived before the jam packed tram too.

I wouldn't bother with the agro of it all.
