Will never stay here again. Service was nonexistent and nothing open when the rest of the city was packed. Expected a 5 star experience and got a 2 star. Ran out of toilet paper, really?!?! Front desk never answered the phone! No water offered even for a diamond member. Need to switch to Marriott apparently ☹️

I booked this hotel based on the historical factors and really wanted to try this out. You arrive and walk up the stairs and the impression is grand, then you get to your room. Rooms have not been updated in about 10 years and it shows. Furniture was scratched, bed skirt all scuffed and dirty, lamps had pieces broken off and wallpaper was peeling. A big disappointment. We even upgraded to a lake view and thankful for that, I can't imagine how depressing the rooms with a lesser view must be,

For a luxury hotel with the reputation of The Drake, we found both the facility and the service lacking. Understanding the challenges with COVID, the building and rooms seemed tired and the staff, when available, seemed less than interested in making the guests that chose to stay with them feel welcomed. Even after mentioning my wife and I were there to celebrate our 10 year anniversary, we were essentially handed 2 bottles of water and told that there was no service or decent food options available, and they were right. The Drake and their staff need a bit of a makeover.
