Description: For 50 years, the original Gino’s East has been offering the best deep dish pizza experience in Chicago. Since we opened our doors in 1966, we’ve shared millions of our signature golden-crust Chicago-style pizzas with Chicagoans, celebrities, and visitors from all over the world. Don’t believe us? The writing is on the walls! We’re world-famous for our tradition of letting all of our customers leave their mark on our restaurant. Come by and leave some graffiti, if you can find a spot, and see if you can find it next year! Gino’s Chicago-style deep dish is made the same way it was 50 years ago. We start with our signature, secret-recipe dough and top it with mounds of mozzarella cheese, fresh toppings, and our tangy tomato sauce. Our pies are slowly baked in seasoned cast iron pans until the crust is golden and flaky, then we serve it table-side, piping hot, right out of the pan. Our deep dish pizzas are loaded with so many toppings that we have cook them for nearly an hour. That’s also the reason we have to put the sauce on top; if we didn’t, the cheese would burn! But trust us, it’s worth the wait. We promise. Ask the people that agree that we are the best deep dish pizza in Chicago. Not sure what to order? Try one of our signature pizzas! The Meaty Legend is a carnivore’s dream, with pounds of pepperoni, special-recipe Italian sausage, Canadian bacon, and crispy bacon. The Chicago Fire is perfect for spice-lovers, with a layer of extra spicy Italian sausage, roasted red peppers, red onions, and jalapeno. Not a meat eater? Try our signature spinach pizza with a blend of fresh spinach and mozzarella cheese. And for the purist, we offer our patty sausage pizza, with a thick layer of our signature sausage covering the entire pie so you get tasty sausage in every bite!

We really enjoyed this while traveiling to Chicago. It is in the Magnificent Mile about 1/2 block of Michigan. Easy to get to. The sauce is on the sweet side and the crust has some corn meal in it. We ordered the Supreme with both peppironi and italian sausgage. The overall pizza was very good. The cheese was gooey and tasted great. We did only order the small (which is 4 slices). We were only able to eat 3 of the 4 slices and we were stuffed.

They were able to find our football game on TV so we could cheer Roll Tide. Service was great we did enjoy this meal.

This is our second time having an event here - its that good! We were here for a conference and this was a lovely way to spend an evening - NOT in a stuffy hotel banquet room. The food is awesome, atmosphere fun, the servers and chef are so accommodating! We are a demanding group and they were cordial, pleasant and ready to make more food when needed. Bravo Gino's!!

Our goal was to hit several pizza joints while in town. Since I’m gluten free I wasn’t really excited about it, but it was on my husband’s bucket list, so I was prepared to eat a lot of salad. I did not expect such a good GF thin crust! Great consistency, slightly under cooked on purpose and it is the right call. It kept the gf dough from feeling like I was biting into cardboard. It was flavorful and just the right kind of messy, like traditional pizza. The 100% real mozzarella cheese and sauce were fantastic. My husband really enjoyed his first deep dish pizza. He said the flavors were well balanced and the fact REAL cheese is used really makes a difference. Service was great! Loved the atmosphere and convenient location just off Michigan.

We ended up at Gino’s because we couldn’t get in the first pizza place we tried to go to. Gino’s had good service, great beer selection, was easy to get into and the pizza was very good. My first time to have Chicago pizza so can’t rate it against others. They also have comedy shows but we were out of there before that started. Not a particularly nice place, just more of a bar scene. But we enjoyed it.

Is a unique place, very friendly, great pizza, average prices and the desserts are a must. No matter at what time you go is great. Dip dish is made when you order and you like it. No matter what you eat, meat lovers is my favorite, but even the pasta is perfectly made. Is a must and this location is one of my favorites.
