Description: We're a Belgian bakery and restaurant serving simple, wholesome and seasonal food. Le Pain Quotidien means "the daily bread" in French, and like our name suggests, we're bakers at heart. Although our handmade, organic bread is how we got our start, we serve a variety of healthy options like organic coffee, pastries, eggs, tartines, soups, salads and desserts. At Le Pain Quotidien, we believe that food should be simple, nourishing and delicious. That's why we source ingredients that are local or organic whenever possible. We also believe in the importance of eating a healthy, plant-based diet, so you'll find many vegetarian or vegan options on our menu.

Not a big fan of chain restaurants but chose this one as it was only a few blocks from the Michigan Avenue and wanted an early breakfast that was not a typical American diner.Service pleasant and chose the breakfast bowl which was served quickly and was delicious.Total approximately $25 which is not cheap but was worth it as you are sitting in a relaxed restaurant that is playing classical music, serving healthy food.If the weather is good there is an outside seating area. The only downside was that the weathers temperature had dropped overnight but the aircon was at full blast making it alittle cold

Service is extremely slow. You wonder why there is a line when half of the tables are empty. Good food but we won’t come back. They need a better manager.

We enjoyed our lunches of a ham/gruyere croissant and my fabulous warm grain salad with quinoa, arugula, squash, kale, goat cheese and spiced pecans. Very generous servings and very flavorful.

Our server was sweet and helpful, though the restaurant was severely understaffed so she was severely stretched.

The location is great on Michigan Avenue across from Millenium Park.

The restaurant is actually located at the corner of North and Wells in Old Town. The food is very good - but SLOW is not an understatement. So do not chose to stop here unless you have time. Thank heavens we were here when it was busy.

The food was amazing but the service was very slow - we had the salmon breakfast and it was awesome - coffees came really sweet but good as well - they have a kids menu - all in all a good place - you have to wait to be seated and service could improve on speed alone - great attitude though
