If you want to hide this is the place for you. No one will bother you here. We hired a car for our 6 day stay, its long walk to the highway for bus: uphill going home, so allow US$ 55 a day for this.
Shelley and Philip are lovely and only 50 metres away with the donkey, sheep, goats, chickens, and 3 hounds. The tortoises, humming birds and other wildlife surround you, just sit on your raised patio and become at one with them. Keep a brush in the bedroom to sweep away bat calling cards when getting your morning cuppa.
For those like us who like to cook, you'll find the kitchen well equiped for you.
A 5 min drive down the hill and your on a quiet, gently sloping, sandy beach: la sargresse. On our way back from the beach on our last day we stopped to drop of some school kids we'd given a lift to and ran into a local selling fresh lobsters - we bought 4 for EC25 (£6). They go well with rum punch.
If you want tourism and razmatazz don't look at this place. If you want true Grenada go for it. Thanks Shelley.

“Comfortable, beautifully appointed, well located yet off the beaten track”

this cottage has a wonderful covered deck where we were able to lounge around in the hammock or at the table during a few rainy days. The bedroom and bathroom are comfortable and beautifully furnished and the kitchen has everything someone who loves to cook might need. The owners were most welcoming, relaxed , and helpful when we asked. Otherwise we had as much privacy as we wanted. Cocoa and banana trees all around our "tree house" and the sound of the crickets at night. With a car ( definitely recommended if you stay here), one of the nicest swimming beaches - as well as beach restaurant and bar. - is ten minutes away. Can explore island from here. A magical find.

“Wonderful!”

Little Cocoa is a piece of heaven in the mountains of Grenada, a cocoa farm that also grows an abundance of fruits and salad fixings. The cottage is a carefully and beautifully restored counting house for receiving cocoa in past times. Comfortable as home, all the facilities and utilities are first-class. This includes the furniture, linens and towels, appliances, cutlery, and featuring sharp chef's knives - I was so impressed! On the generous deck surrounded by banana trees and exotic plants, the teak outdoor dining table and chairs and the wonderful hammock are THE place to relax, read, listen to the sounds of the wind and birds, and the peepers at dusk. Wonderful when it rains! Close to beautiful La Sagesse beach and other hotels for eating out if desired, and to a food store for provisions for eating in. A car is a necessity to fully explore the area. Phillip and Shelly are great hosts, and the animals, especially Amiga the donkey, are endearing. The farm tour is so enlightening to those of us who may have thought that our fruits and spices come from the supermarket. A great place to stay - you should try it!
