Loved the different hills, so much diversity. There was definitely somethings for everyone. We did night tubing and I would definitely recommend that! So much fun under the lights
We met up with a bunch of friends and their families to go tubing. The staff was friendly and the concessions were reasonably priced. Four tubing lanes to choose from and wait times are minimal, even when at capacity.
Tip: Be sure to book your slot online before heading up. And take your time driving up in cold conditions--the roads can be slick in winter.
This place was awesome! My family of five went Saturday, Jan. 2nd. When you walk from the parking lot to the site, there is a fire pit to keep warm in case you show up a little too early (which we did, to ensure we got to enjoy the full two hours). There is also a yurt with a vending machine filled with chips, snacks, candy, and hand warmers. Alongside it is a cook trailer, where you can order various hot foods (chili, hot dogs, etc.) and also an impressive drink selection - soda, coffee, hot chocolate, and even some alcoholic choices :) They take credit cards which is great!! Make sure to bring cash for the vending machine. We got a five minute safety orientation and then we were off! There are five lanes - 1-5 ("mild" to "wild" per one of the workers). I was with our youngest the whole time, so I didn't go on #5, but my husband and sons said it was great. My favorite was #3 - this one had a great drop at the end that I couldn't get enough of - it worked even better with a double tube or a group. The entire staff were very patient and really helpful. I don't know that I would be as pleasant being outside in the cold all day and still keep good spirits, but they really were awesome employees :)
We didn't have to wait long in line to go up the hill or to go down it either, maybe a max of 5 minutes even with a line of 30 people waiting to go up, and then, depending on the amount of people waiting for certain lanes and perhaps a mishap down below, maybe 5-7 minutes waiting to go down. Usually if the line was too long on one, we would just go down another because it didn't take long to get back up to the top again.
Two hours was a perfect amount of time for our family. Everyone was ready to rest afterwards and we all felt that we got to go down the hill ALOT. It really was an awesome trip and we will definitely be back again next year!
This tubing hill was great! There is a rope tow "lift" that carries you (in your tube) to the top of the hill and 5 lanes for tubing. The lanes worked great, no bumping into other tubers. You can go down most lanes in groups holding on to others tubes. This was fun and makes you go faster. The staff will give a short introduction/instructions when you arrive. They want to provide a safe experience for everyone. There is staff at the top of the hill that will clear you to go and staff at the bottom of the hill as well to make sure you clear the lanes safely. There are single tubes and double tubes and small tubes for little kids. The staff was very friendly. There is a yurt to warm up and food available for purchase. The hot chocolate with whipped cream was delicious. There is also a campfire that was great for warming hands. We took our 5 and 7 year old and they had a blast as well as Granny who had a blast too! I would recommend reservations as they seem limit the number of tubers. This was great as we really did not have to wait in line at the top of the hill and rarely had to wait (max 5 or so minutes) for the lift. At the end of our two hour session we were all tired; I would not recommend more than a 2 hour reservation. I wish we had brought hand and foot warmers. This experience would be fun for all ages! We will certainly go back!
This tubing hill has a tow rope and 5 separated lanes. You can go really fast without worrying about running into people or getting crashed into. There are single tubes and double tubes so an adult can have a child over 2 with them. They have some tubes with black plastic bottoms that are really fast and most of them have a canvas type bottom that is a lot slower. It depends on conditions on the hill which kind you would want to choose. The canvas bottomed tubes can be slow if there is fresh snow. The hill has 2 hour sessions and reservations are a good idea.
