Made reservation online upon arriving in town, based on previous stays at upgraded Motel 6 properties. We checked in, paid for room and departed for local dining. Upon returning to the property, The room/property is ancient and rundown. The a/c in the room was in the ceiling somewhere with a thermostat installed during the Alexander-the-Great era. It was set on "cool" but had no settings as to just how cool you want it. It was not functioning. Also, the toilet took 3 tries to partially evacuate a poop. That's it, we're outta here. 4 rooms down, two derelicts were perched on chairs outside on the sidewalk, blasting a boom box. I apprised the front desk of these deficiencies and told them the property was 100% unacceptable.and asked for a refund. She turned and looked at the clock and mumbled something about it's been too long. Motel 6 corporate office was apologetic, but no refund. I am disputing the charge thru Visa. INSPECT THE ROOM PRIOR TO PAYMENT. This property is a dump and should be condemned.

I have booked this property multiple times as I have a child at nearby VSU. This is pretty much the cheapest place you can find in the area.

Unfortunately you can't count on your reservation happening. I always reserve through Expedia and never had a confirmed reservation not honored until this hotel earlier this year. They claimed I had no reservation and the app and emails I had were wrong. Assuming this was an anomaly i booked again for this next weekend. Checking my reservation the night before (tonight) i discover it's canceled. By the property. I was not notified in any way.

Not sure what their deal is but I have had nothing but issues even on the times they didn't cancel me. Lots of sketchy folks about and one morning I stayed here I walked out to police all over the parking lot for some reason.

Buyer beware.

My top two choices in Valdosta were sold out so I booked here since it was so close to the other hotels. Worst mistake ever!!!! I always strip comforter and fleece blanket off bed (since they aren't washed on a regular basis). I put it them in corner of room- my 3lb chichuahua laid on blankets and by the time morning arrived he was infested with fleas. The room was just that- a room. One garbage can near entrance, no microwave, no coffee machine, no hairdryer. Looks like alot of families live here long term and there were children running all over the place. A van was parked outside of my room with the music blaring and smoking marijuana inside. Needless to say I left before the sun came up. I would have let sooner but as a woman traveling alone I didn't want to take any chances. There's only one ice machine and it's next to office. The bathroom floor was slippery and the shower curtain was falling off and again no garbage can in bathroom. The towels were so thin that I couldn't even wrap my hair up so it could dry. I will never ever stay here again!
