Check-In for our reservation was quick & smooth. Our room was at the opposite side of the property from office, facing nearby I-75 and RR tracks; so at first we had some concern for potential noise. But we were tired, and once settled inside the modest but clean & decent room (which had no smoking odor, a make-or-break criteria for us) we heard nothing to disrupt our good night's sleep. There was nothing wrong or bad to remark upon from our visit, lots of nearby alternatives, and it's a very functional location. The rare Hurricane evacuation is well-publicized long before it arrives, and the roads & hotels are busy any time, much more so during a disaster - so it isn't really fair to down-rate in reviews when the staff (who are locals trying to make the best of it too) and facility are overwhelmed. Suggestion: Let Common Sense influence your choices, and civility guide your reviews. If you're used to over $100 rooms, you won't be impressed here. We've stayed in both, and were happy here + the $60 difference we saved. P.S. they do have a microwave beside the ice machine @ office, and no-hassle pet policy. We'll be back.
