I was a little apprehensive about staying here because of all the negative reviews. But because I am a dyed-in-the-wool budget traveler, and have been down this path before, I decided to give it a try. My ratings are also based upon price to quality. You can't expect $100 quality for a $50 price. I had a first floor room at the front, facing the busy road. There was traffic noise but it didn't really bother me. My room was small with two double beds, one for me and the other for my belongings. There was an old style TV with limited channel choices which worked fine. TV was set on a long, maybe eight foor, veneer type desk with chair and under the desk shelving for storage if needed. The room wad well lit. The walls appeared freshly painted. If they were not, then their condition was good with no noticeable marks, stains, or anything else. The bathroom is decent size with what seems to be a newer "bath fitter" type shower unit. The shower is very small with not much room to turn around, but the water pressure and high placed shower head more than made up for it. One of the best showers of the whole trip. My only negative comment would be the mattress. It doesn't have much firmness to it, sinks in quite a bit and has a squishy springy sound to it when you sit on it or move around during the night. Despite this, I slept pretty well. They really should get new, more comfortable mattresses. That is the reason for my '4' rather than '5'. I can't speak for the AC, because I didn't need it. It's a central unit with vents as opposed to an individual wall unit. So the bottom line is if you are looking for amenities such as flat screen tv, fridge, microwave, hair dryer, iron, ironing board, coffee maker, huge fluffy bath towels, designer bed linens, separate sitting area with upholstered chairs, etc., etc., then, by all means, continue driving. If, on the other hand, your needs are few and you are looking for an economical place to stay after a day on the interstate, by all means give it a try. I would stay again. There were no rowdy guests that I could hear, but that might very well be different on another night. And that could happen anywhere. The wifi worked fine as well. Parking is right in front of the door. My room was 103.

We made a reservation for this hotel on the Monday before it became apparent that Hurricane Matthew would hit the east coast of Florida. During our evacuation, we called the hotel to verbally confirm our reservation and were told that they had it and there was no problem. Upon arriving in Valdosta, we drove by the hotel to ask about an early check-in at which point our reservation was confirmed again and we were told we couldn't check until later that afternoon. We decided shortly after to go ahead and make the drive to go to my parents house in NGA. We called and got the name changed on our reservation to that of a single mom who was also evacuating the hurricane with her young son and elderly mother. We confirmed several times that the reservation change was valid and they checked in. That evening we found out the reservation would not be honored and we can only assume it is because the hotel manager, a rude and unscrupulous person, was giving rooms to the highest bidder. Nice job putting families with small kids out on the streets when they have evacuated a hurricane and have no where to go. Horrible hotel with bad people managing it. Stay far away.

We stayed here for two nights. They messed up our reservation for the second night, they did honor there mistake and found us a room for the second night we still had to move all of our stuff and why....why not put the other people in the new room...and we had to wait for it to be bombed and it was the worse smell ever. Because there was an evacuation and the hotel was full it didn't matter to them that this odor was as far f we were sleeping in a room of animal poo. Dirty, no towels, smelled, just awful!

I needed to be in Valdosta for two weeks ends back to back and wanted to save some money. I have stayed at Motel 6's is the South West US before without any issues. So I gave this location a try. The next weekend I stayed at much better place.
The room was nasty, stains on the carpet and bedding, Plus they did not bring clean towels for the second night.

I have stayed in several places. This one is at the bottom. If I hadn't been so tired and already paid , I would have left. First room I was in, the air wasn't working so moved to another room barely working. The room had a very fowl odor. Everything dirty looking Towels in the bathroom worn out. Afraid too lay in the bed. Seen roach as we left. So very concerned they got into my luggage Only positive thing was the clerk. Very nice. Security person. A joke. He was a very large man in shorts in a tshirt and long hair and hadn't shaved in forever. Not in a uniform or could identify his job. If I had responded as a officer would had thought he was the bad guy . Run pass this place. Tom bodett doesn't need too leave the light on for me anymore.

I was in line with another person to get our money back. Air conditioning didn't work. Filthy, cobwebby and smokey. I asked if any of the rooms had AC that could keep up. NO. I told her the website says "renovated" and she said that was like 2 rooms. She said people leave all the time. I felt sorry for her but not sorry enough to suffer through 94 degree weather with no AC. THEY CHARGED ME ANYWAY. Said it will take 2 weeks to get it off my card. OH, and they overcharged me according to my reservation. Management would not return it.
