This was my first stay at a Drury Hotel. Very clean and comfy room. Plenty of parking. Great breakfast and the Kick Back at night is enough for dinner!! All the staff was so friendly. Would definitely stay again when traveling from Florida to all points north!
Exceptionally pleasant staff. Everyone from the housekeepers to the managers made the effort.the manager helped remove dishes in the breakfast area. It’s a good sign of a good manager when they jump in as needed.the meals were hardy enough for my husband and light enough for me.
This hotel is currently being renovated and it certainly needs it. Our room was very outdated and oddly arranged with an empty space to the left of the room with a desk in it. There was a large blank wall that could have been used for storage or a loveseat, etc, but it was empty like something had been removed. Room would not cool down (3rd floor), although it was not especially hot outside as Valdosta can be. I didn't get the clean vibe and friendly feel I usually get at a Drury. The hot breakfast items were not warm.
I love, love, love the Drury Inn. The only downfall was that there was no vacancy on my first day there, so we were suggested to book the trip at a different hotel in Lake Park.....worse decision ever! Without going into details I would say that it was so egregious that I slept in my car the first night. That morning, my family and I went to the world famous Drury Inn. The room was large, clean, cozy and did not smell. Breakfast and lunch are included with your stay, and the staff is the friendliest that I've ever met. I remembered faces from my previous visit last year. If you are in need of comfort, peace and serenity.... it's all about the Drury Inn. I actually likened it to the Marriott Hotel in Chicago, Illinois. Hands down, Drury Inn gets my vote every time!
The staff needs to learn how to vacuum better. We found fake eyelashes and toenail clippings beside the bed on the floor. The bathroom was clean but the staff could have done a better job in the bedroom area. To me there's nothing worse than staying in a hotel room with a dirty floor.
