Valdosta, Georgia

Probably better going somewhere else

This is one of the few extended stay locations in the Valdosta area, so if it's what you REALLY need, then use it. However, ALL rooms have been smoked in, and for an extended stay "suite" the rooms are small (barely college dorm size), the fridge is maybe large enough to hold a single day's worth of groceries, there is one small wire shelf to hang clothes on and the room & hotel is just plain run down along the busiest street in Valdosta. I decided not to stay and instead went to the EconoLodge and got a room much better suited for an extended stay, and less expensive, while I waited to get into my Apartment.

First my friend booked this place 3 weeks prior to her move to Valdosta. On the day of we were to arrive we called because we were running behind schedule and wanted to make sure we would be okay arriving at 6pm.

She was told they didn't have a room or reservation for her and that they might be able to help us in a day or two. We explained that we had a confirmation number directly from their hotel and he said he was unable to even look up confirmation numbers and that it doesn't guarantee you a room anyway.

Sadly my friend is on an extremely tight budget so staying the night anywhere else was much more than was budgeted for. We found a room and decided to deal with it the next day. At 7 pm they called to say they had found us a room but we had already paid for a night elsewhere and were over the fight at that point.

You have NO OPTION to contact customer service. They respond via email within 5 days. The main number directs you to a full mailbox. Reservations supervisor was only able to offer a room over an hour away from the original location at $100 MORE.

I am still waiting to hear back from the corporate office about getting reimbursed for our first night because we were forced to stay at a more expensive place.

We arrived at the hotel the next day and all I can say is this is the worst extended stay I have ever seen. They do not have pots or pans, no toilet paper, one towel per person for the entire stay, oh and free roommates of roaches IN THE BED. We used an entire bottle of bug spray after finding the 6th roach and it was in the bed.

I am sad that my friend is forced to stay in these conditions. It is horrible and not AT ALL what their website has shown. We have searched for better options in town and haven't found anything that fits her budget so she is forced to stay there for at least a week. She is a single mom to a 13 year old and they had to leave their home in NY due to her failing health. Lung disease and the cold do not mix. :(

My boys and I are relocating to Valdosta Georgia I’m purchasing a home but needed a place to stay until closing so we went to the InTown Suites. The lady that checked us in was very nice and professional she told me to check and make sure the room was ok upon checking everything looked ok, old smelly but the plan and thought was we are only here for a week. Later that night after eating food we saw a roach crawl around the bag of trash that was on the table from our food. My boys and I took the bag and anything else that would attract roaches to the dumpster. Now at this point we were settling down getting ready to go to sleep when I looked and saw another roach crawl across my sons head needless to say we jumped and started to leave when another roach crawled across the front door we were disgusted we left and came to the BW one exit up and were able to sleep in peace knowing we are in a roach free place

The pictures are pictures of the mold in the bathroom which I didn’t realize til it was brought to my attention and one of the many roaches we saw. I’m hoping the manager of this place will refund my money.

If you have kids don’t stay here!

No bugs, no smells, nothing out of the ordinary. The staff was great, including the lady who cleaned my room. Very cordial and went over and above to make sure my stay was what I expected. Not the Hilton, but met my expectations in every way. I would recommend it to others.

Whenever I have an issue manager Rick goes out of his way to make sure its taken care of on my behalf. :) Every Tuesday their wonderful housekeepers come and do a great job cleaning my room. I am a firm believer in the saying, ''you get what you pay for"'. This is not rated a five star hotel. But the location is AWESOME!!! Everything is within minutes of walking or driving. The rooms are descent with full a full size fridge and kitchenette. The only negative complaint about my stay here is that since it is a hotel, you have different people coming and going ALL hours of the night..kinda hard to sleep when you can hear your neighbors t.v. on, or the constant doors slamming, people talking aloud right outside your door 2a.m. in the morning or (my favorite) EXTREMELEY LOUD SEX through your room walls. Other than that it is an okay, place for temporary stay. I am a woman and I feel pretty safe at night.

Room tip: Pick a room near the elevator if upstairs. Easier to load or unload travel items.
