Have stayed in much nicer, cleaner Candlewoods before. The carpet here was filthy and there were people in the lobby not wearing masks, so rules are not being enforced. Elevators were dirty as well. Bad smell in the hallways. Dish rags in suites are clean but are actual torn up rags...Just hesitant about using due to COVID. Cherry on top was that I booked this 2 weeks in advance as a platinum IHG member. When I booked I requested a ground floor room or close to the elevator due to having a special needs pup with us. I check in and they’ve put us in the FOURTH floor in the farthest room from the elevator. So neither of my requests could be honored even though I booked 2 wks in advance? Annoying.
Beds are nice/suite and bathroom seem clean!
Overall, this has not been a pleasant experience. Kind of wishing now that I had cancelled when I saw the state of the hotel’s common areas and hallways. Thankfully it’s only for 1 night.
