On my way to Naples, FL to drive my in-laws' car back to Indiana for the summer. Needed a place to rest for the evening and the Candlewood Suites in Valdosta did not disappoint.
It was a very nice facility; if it's not relatively new it had to have been recently renovated. I was greeted and checked in quickly. In the midst of the pandemic the process done with proper social distancing.
The suite was clean and very spacious. Complete with a kitchen area and a living room area with a couch and recliner. There were TVs in both the living room and bedroom. The bed was very comfortable and provided a pleasant night's sleep.
The heating and cooling system was wonderful. The thermostat was on the wall and you could select the fan to be in the 'constant-on' position. I find that very helpful to drown out noise and avoid the sound of the system kicking on and off during the night.
The bathroom was brightly lit. The shower had good water pressure, another thing that greatly affects my rating of a hotel room.
They had a grab and go breakfast that had granola bars, snack cakes and single serving yogurts. I'm sure the typical self serve breakfast was no doubt shut down for health and safety reasons. All in all I was completely satisfied with my stay and wouldn't hesitate staying there again.
