Total check in time about 50 minutes.
First room 417 had a quiet AC but no light bulbs in the lamps. How can cleaning miss the light bulbs. Also, no refrigerator. Switched room to 419.
Loud AC
Hot water was a few degrees over warm. I had it all the way on hot and still needed it a lot hotter.
Room looked clean but was not. Photo of wash cloth after I wiped headboard. (attached)
Feet were black on bottom after walking bare foot for about 20 minutes. Took shower and saw black water running down the drain.
Put socks on. Left them in the room black when I left.
Big gap under the door. Hot air coming in. (I put 2 pillows down to block it)
Trash all over the back parking lot.
3AM when I left because of the outside light coming into the room causing me not to sleep, parking lot was quite busy. Cars coming in and out. 3 people sitting on their car drinking.

Nice location and the Quality Inn and Econo Lodge are in the same building. You will also pay the same price I imagine for both. We got a good value on a suite and the sign said the hotel had recently been renovated. The room was clean but some of the furniture was older. Nice staff and breakfast was continental at this time due to COVID-19.

I search hotel rooms for bugs once I enter them, however after this experience I learned I was not looking for the correct things. I was watching a movie On my laptop and kept seeing something out of the corner of my eye, the lights were off, I brushed it off thinking it was just floaters or something...never expecting what I learned 25 mins later. I started itching and when I grabbed my phone to shine a light I learned it was bed bugs. I quickly went up to the front desk and informed them that they had a very bad bed bugs infestation and they were everywhere. She responded that she was not sure what to do.... When I Returned, turned all the lights on they started moving off of the bed. Room 308, was a double so I had my suitcase open on the other bed..they were IN MY SUITCASE. I went to go to Walmart only to remember, “oh yeah we are in a pandemic..it’s closed” so I had to go back to the hotel and ask them for large trash bags because I wanted to salvage my suitcase and clothing. The front desk clerk did offer me a new room, but by this point it would have been pointless due to the bugs being in my luggage, I would have just transferred them..and there was no where to buy new clothes prior to me having to be at work in the very early morning hours. It is 9:30-10pm at this point. Anyhow, long story short...I had to leave my suitcase behind as it was too large for the bags....And double bagged all of my clothes in trash bags and zip tied them to put in my trunk. I drove 2.5 hours home that night.

**i understand bed bugs can happen in any facility, my post is for past and future guest to be aware that they have/had them, and for them to take proper safety measures when entering a room. I am in no way trying to bash the hotel or talk in a negative manner**

The pictures below are from the 2 sets of pillows in the room, this is all I could get as I was freaking out and when the lights come on they apparently run. I showed the clerk these photos.

Good location. Nice people running the place. Good value, with quite a few restaurants in the area. Room was quite clean and quiet. I drive a hot shot, and they have plenty of parking. I will stay there again.

I travel to Thomasville for work and on this trip all the hotel were sold out except the Econ Lodge. I understood that this is a 2 star hotel so my expectations were in line. To my surprise the rooms were pleasantly updated and clean! The staff was friendly and courteous. If you're looking for a 4 star hotel this isn't the place for you.The exterior still needed some work ad it's a cold breakfast but I would recommend this hotel for a value budget stay.

Room tip: King suites with seperate living room is the best choice.

I stayed in one of the newly renovated rooms, you can tell how hard they are working to renovate and remodel this hotel. Folks were there all hours of the day working, adding new furniture, etc. Many of the rooms are filled to the brim with new shelves, desks, beds, televisions, and more. I can see that they've gotten bad reviews in the past, but it looks like they're working very hard to improve their scores. I would recommend the hotel to folks looking for an affordable place to stay in Thomasville. The staff are friendly and went out of their way to help me have a good stay.

Hopefully they do add fruit to the breakfast though!

      I'd stay here again.
