I travel to Thomasville for work and on this trip all the hotel were sold out except the Econ Lodge. I understood that this is a 2 star hotel so my expectations were in line. To my surprise the rooms were pleasantly updated and clean! The staff was friendly and courteous. If you're looking for a 4 star hotel this isn't the place for you.The exterior still needed some work ad it's a cold breakfast but I would recommend this hotel for a value budget stay.
I stayed in one of the newly renovated rooms, you can tell how hard they are working to renovate and remodel this hotel. Folks were there all hours of the day working, adding new furniture, etc. Many of the rooms are filled to the brim with new shelves, desks, beds, televisions, and more. I can see that they've gotten bad reviews in the past, but it looks like they're working very hard to improve their scores. I would recommend the hotel to folks looking for an affordable place to stay in Thomasville. The staff are friendly and went out of their way to help me have a good stay.
Hopefully they do add fruit to the breakfast though!

Checked in when other hotels were full due to Tallahassee Spring football game. Was happy to find a clean room with comfortable bed and soft fresh sheets. Shower unit new, and bathroom updated. Room was awaiting new furniture the management told me, but old furniture wasn’t bad. Lamp was missing a lightbulb and remote didn’t work on tv. Quiet room. Manager let me know the hotel strives to keep a quiet atmosphere and wants to keep out parties that might disturb other guests.

Was visiting home for an overnight trip and needed a place to stay. I read the mixed reviews here and saw some that seemed a bit harsh and stupidly ignored them. I regret it. I reserved a stay for one night and paid online for my reservation. Upon check in, they took my card and info. The lobby was filthy, kind of what you would expect from a low quality place. Once I got my key I went to my room, as soon as I opened the door there was a dead roach on the floor. The carpet looks like it has never been vacuumed or cleaned in years. There was something gooey on the bedside tables, the bedsheets had stains and hair in them. The bathroom was so dirty too. What a mistake.
I went back to the office and demanded my money back. They offered me another room but it just wasn’t worth it. This place was too disgusting. The guy at the front desk said he refunded me and I checked my checking account to find out they didn’t, instead they double charged me just like previous reviews stated.
I have no idea how they are still in business. No way are they rated an “A” from health and safety. This business needs to shut down or shape up because it is a health hazard!
I don't even know where to begin. The hotel is very run down. Our room was so disgusting that we walked in, looked around and then had to leave. There was urine all over the toilet. Pubic hair in the bathtub, spit in the sink. The beds were made but the sheets were dirty. I was horrified. I tried to contact the manager 4 times and he would never call me back. It was a terrible, terrible experience. They're disgusting crooks.
