“Fun for kids on a rainy Bergen day”
Review of Vannkanten

Happy to review this activity in the Bergen area. As a visitor of Bergen you should know it will probably rain during your stay. As we were travelling with teenage kids I tried to find of some indoor activities. This pool is located just outside Bergen city, about a 15 min drive.
Although this waterworld is more of a watervillage, my kids had a lot of fun and were very happy to have a swim and enjoy the slides/spinner/water climbing wall.
Kids 10+ can enter without an adult (if they're good swimmers!). Parents can take a walk through the small mall and enjoy a coffee.
Lockers available.
Ps. Vannkanten also offers a small bowling area and curling during the season. Check out the website for correct opening hours.

I was visiting Vannkanten about 8 times now. It has two floors. The top one is relaxing with jacuzzi, sauna and outside pool and the bottom one divided between kids and adults area. I recommend you going the during the week days as it is nice and quite there. There is no queue on the water tubes. Do not forget to bring 10 kr with you, as you'll need it for your locker.

Always crowded, and though the place is nice the fee is skyhigh to use it. The locker-room area is ok, but the showers are often dirty, the same goes for the area around the pools. This is maybe due to all the people visiting during the day, but at that price-range the place should be perfect.

We came and from the photos I thougt it would be more.. but with that said we had fun.. not to many slides and areas for small kids.. but for teenages I bet this place would be great.. missed someone that would be on guard on the slide as my kids were always being ran over by older kids on the only slide they could go on.. but still a fun day :)

This is a lovely facility for all ages of kids, including dads. There is a kiddy pool for toddlers, then a load of linked pools including a channel you can float around in rubber rings. You can swim to an outside pool. There's a jacuzzi and a therapy pool that is appreciably warmer than the main pools. There are 4 water slides, of varying degrees, one can only be reached via a climbing wall. The central piece is a slide that basically flushes you down a toilet, not for the faint hearted. It is relatively expensive, but that's Norway, I'd definitely use it on a rainy day to keep the kids happy.
