We unexpectedly stayed here for three nights due to hurricane evacuation. Forgetting they gave away all my reserved nights when I canceled the first night only, they did make the extra effort and called me saying they were able to reinstate our nights. It seems that hotels sometimes have rooms available if you call their front desk although internet sites say all rooms are sold out. By the way, they had no cancellation fees!
We were traveling with one dog and one cat. The pet fee was $25 per animal. When we entered the room, there was no smell of pet oder or smoking and the floor was wisely covered in pretty wood-like vinyl. With a full galley kitchen, bath, queen bed and sitting area, this was really an efficiency and quite comfy. The outside door to walk the dog was just down the hall.
We saw a nice pool, laundry room and two treadmills in the exercise room as well. There was a hairdryer, iron and ironing board in the room.
The thing I had never experienced before was this. If you wanted extra towels, a small coffee maker, dishes, flatware, cooking pots and pans, you had to go to the front desk to pick them up. It was no problem, just different. They provided dish soap for hand washing what you dirtied and detergent for the dishwasher. It saved us money making sandwiches in the room. I heard them say there is maid service once a week, so since we stayed only 3 nights, I made the bed and kept things tidy. No issues there.
The complimentary breakfast was on a small table in the lobby. It consisted of hot coffee and creamer, instant oatmeal and grits in packages where you add hot water, granola bars, and pre-baked muffins shipped in from out of town. It was enough to tide you over, certainly, until lunch.
The staff was very courteous and very pleasant. The place was clean. Overall, it was in fine place to stay.
